Jun. 9, 2006~ I'm glad we Homeschool ~
I am so glad we homeschool. I am able to allow my boys to process the life lessons that are put before them without worrying what other kids think. Sense the loss of Rosey the chicken my boys have been able to learn how to greave and not hold it in. I was able to listen when they needed a ear. I was able to hug them when comfort was needed. I, at the same time get to train them in virtues that are godly. I really love the book "Boyhood and Beyond" - practical wisdom for becoming a man by...Bob Schultz , published by Great Expectations Book Co.I love how it really teaches and speaks into a virtuious life that I sooo desire for my boys to men. At the same time I have been really challanged by it. I will go the distance and I will rely on God for my strength to finish the task of homeschooling to whole way. The more I homeschool the more I love what I see homeschooling is and what it can do .Thank you for listening to my reflective ramblings. I guess I feel a little sentimental today.
Hi there. We also have the book Boyhood and Beyond. I haven't read it with my boys yet, but it's on the shelf ! To me, what's funny is that the author only raised girls. However, people convinced him to write the book because they still valued his perspective on the subject so much. God really can raise a person up to do something to further his cause, can't he?
I don't know but it sure is intresting. Maybe mamma1420 might know I haven't got the book she mentioned yet, it's on my to get list. (0:

Canadagirl, I can't read this entry either. I think the font you chose to use is not on my computer or barbieheart's. Can you change the font to something more common?
By the way, I like your new header pic. Very peaceful. You must have a smart son.

I have been recording our journey on my blog. Go to my links on The House That God Built and you will find it.
