Jun. 16, 2006~ In Memory of my Daddy ~
In Honor of my Daddy
A Father well loved and well missed , he passed away two and a half years ago. Happy Fathers Day , Daddy.
DD has epilepsy. That said, the prognosis is good--the hope is that she will outgrow it. She has been on the same medication since the beginning--age 2 1/2. She has seizures fairly rarely, tolerates the medicine very well. The bloodwork is just to measure the level of medicine in her blood, and make sure her liver is functioning normally.
What a blessing to hear from you.
I love you too, Sister!!!!
What a beautiful photo of you and your Father. How incredible to have such a blessing to share with others, your relationship must have been a miracle. He looks amazing.
It makes me think that I might be able to get up the nerve to call my father. It's been nearly 4 years now. So much of what God teaches me daily is the lessons that I learn as a result of a painful childhood. Praise God that HE is faithful, even when our earthly counterparts aren't.
I hope I was able to make it readable. I lumped it with the first post about the book with the second post. I am sorry for those who commented on it , I lost your comment while fixing it. I'm sorry. )0=
In Him,

PS: Thank you all for those who said sweet words about my pic of my Dad and I on my wedding day. I can't belive how many times I teared up after I posted that. I guess I am still proccessing my loss of him.
That is a nice picture. You must have some really good memories, that is awesome.
I am trying to force my brain to absorb CM, I think for me it's something I must have to "live" into... I can't just read it and then do it lol. We are using a lit based curric (Robinson Curric) and I think the two go hand in hand, however when I read something on CM I think I must add more... sigh... :)
Hope you were able to see the pics of the mentos pop explosions on my kids' blogs.
of your dad and the lake, they are beautiful pictures. My father passed away when I was pregnant with my first child, so it would be 12 years ago now. Im not sure you ever really get over it to tell the truth, though you do accept it. :o)
You seem like a really lovely person, Id just love to come to Canada just to visit! (to experience the other side of the world would be a bonus too!!!) I do enjoy your blog. :o)
Wow, your dad must have been older when you were born. (Gary will be 53 when our next arrives.)
Thanks for sharing a little about your experience with WonderTree. That trade-off, freedom for money, is definitely something we're on the lookout for. The VISION program contracts with the school district via a 501 3c (non-profit) entity for five-year terms, after which the terms of the contract may be re-written before the next five year agreement. So that's certainly the time to be watching for changes.
What a touching picture of you and your father! I have a picture of my dad and I from our wedding rehearsal dinner that I just love. My dad is still alive, but is in very poor health. It has been so difficult to watch him age.
Ron and I used to live in Parkland (near Tacoma and Puyallup). We moved back to the Midwest about 3 1/2 years ago. Ron grew up on a farm in Minnesota. His roots were deep and were being stretched by being so far from home. We didn't have any family out there, so it was an easy decision. We still miss our little church. I wish I could have transplanted each and every member of the congregation!
I so agree with you about the list thing. I think I need tor try and begin the day with the end in mind. This year I assigned chores and schoolwork as it seemed needed. I think I need to have a better "plan of attack". Of course we all know what happens when we plan............
Stoppin by to see how you are! Hope all is well! I hope God will bless you abundantly this week!!! I posted about my Fathers Day (Well, Dads), check it out!
Come and visit with me and Galadriel in Lothlorien, and stop and say Hello! Id love to hear from you!
