Jun. 24, 2006~ BEADING WITH A PURPOSE ~
I wanted to share what we were inspired to do for the King's Kingdom. My 4 boys and I bead jewelery and bookmarks for God. We sell the items and give a portion to the"Bibles for the Poor Society" in Vanautu , that we mentioned in an earlier post. It is so neat for the boys to make such neat creations. This works so well with our CM education in the department of Hand crafts. The boys feel so proud of what they can make and know it is for a good cause. This is a necklace that I made today. I am also going to upload a pic of a bookmark.
So far it has been by word of mouth. I have been told by many I should see it at the local market. I haven't done it yet. (( sigh)) I might be concidering a online web site for this among other things. I would love to have a home based bussiness. If someone wants something let me know I can make thing happen. I go to the states to visit my friends and family. Thanks everyone for your sweet comments. Thank you.
That is where I would start before you spend the money on a website. There is some good stuff out there about selling on Ebay. If you want I can link you to some of what I have seen.
I just wanted to stop by and to ask Manen nalyλ? That's a cool necklace!!! I have always wanted to make my own jelwery! Looks great! I have posted again!
Hope you are well!!

Try www.homewaypress.com . These folks sell some ebooks on this and are big into encouraging home based businesses. Another site to check out is www.elijahcompany.com. I don't think they have their homebased business section up yet, but they are neat people who homeschooled all their kids and had a book business. Now that kids are grown they are putting their energies into encouraging families to get home based businesses and break out of the work world rat race. So start there. If I come across anything else I will let you know. I guess I have something of a passion for seeing people get financial freedom and independence because it often brings families together to work together and grow together. Maybe I will blog about it sometime.
I love it! My DD - 6 years old looked at it and I told her that a homeschooling mom and her sons make them. She said, " Can we ask one them if we can have one?" So, my DD & I would love one too :) How much? Do you take Paypal?
what a neat idea and a lovely necklace! I used to do beading a bit when I was a kid, maybe we'll do that instead of have ds-14 bike to a job in a rough neighborhood like dh is insisting he do.... any other ideas for kids to do, besides yard work, which all yards here are already being done by "landscaping companies". Want to share your resource links? do you get the supplies at wholesale?
