Jun. 27, 2006~ The 27 Fling Boogie Challange ~
I am giving myself , starting today, The 27 Fling Boogie Challange. I plan to do what flylady.net says and go threw my house and "throw away" 27 things and then " give away 27 things" from my house. I don't care how big or how small it is but it just has to leave my house. But the difference of this challange is that I want to do this for "27 Days". Decluttering is soooooooooo hard and dranning to me so I will have to pray threw the 27 days to be able to do it. If anyone wants to do this with me I will also encourage you along the way. Today I want my sweet 1ds13 to put a ticker on my blog to count down this challange for me. I have never challanged myself so "Big" before and I hope by posting this it will give me some accountability. The purpose is for me to really cut down the "STUFF" in my life. This should make it alot easier to move this late Fall if all goes well with building our house or it will just make my life easier and hubby happier. I will have to try to think of a accronym for "STUFF this week. If you have one to share please do I want to make this time fun so it won't feel so much like work, lol. So hear I go.....fling ... fling....fling.... In Him,-Canadagirl
I wish you the best of hope and faith (Can't really say luck since there's no such thing) on your goal. Hopefully you'll see something good out of it. God is watching over you and your family...
I'm sorry that i missed the text thingy. I was so looking forward to talking to you and all the other people who would've been on at the time. Well, thanks to you, i actually have a reason to blog. no one comes on my blog much...
or fling or whatever...everything but books..it is hard for me to throw the books.
I wish I could come and help you do the fling. My husband usually provides good incentives for me to get rid of the extra stuff. Usually dinner out or buying more books if I get rid of some books I don't really want/need or read.
I love the beadwork that you and your son's do. Also think your son's blog is cool.
Wishing you a great and blessed day,
Linda
I will cheer you on. I am not a pack rat at all....so I tend to get rid of stuff too easily. However, I understand how difficult it is to get started, and living in such a small house I feel like we never have enough room. It will feel so good, and you will feel quite pleased with your self when you have more space.
I will check back in....we want pictures of some of the stuff you get rid of....LOL
I am getting excited about this now. I CAN DO IT, (0;
Keep cheering me on, I WILL need it. Thank you for your encouragement. It means alot.
In Him,
-Canadagirl
I'm not sure I can join you this week, because I threw out six huge trashbags of trash, AND four bags of "give-aways" last week! But I will be rooting for you, and maybe by the end of the week, I'll be ready again to face my clutter!!
Thanks for your prayers. We've certainly needed them.
I like your bead necklace idea and my girls think your son's blog is very handsome. I'd say 'beautiful' but he is a boy. Plus, he is writing posts with substance that benefits others. I think we should all encourage our child bloggers to do this as much as they are able.
I just love Flylady. She is bossy and she is right. She makes me laugh, too. We can't have too much clutter in our home because the homes here are not built with closets. I REALLY don't like that, but have had to learn to live with it.
So are you flinging 27 things a day? I'll join you but may not find 27 a day here, I've been at it each week getting a couple boxes a week out of here. A few weeks ago I had the local thrift store stop by with a truck to pick it up there was so much! I'm kindof ashamed I spent so much money on things I'm now trashing. How did day 2 go?
and then I will head back up to my room for the fling and if.... I run out then I will go to my dinning room -kitchen area. That will probably do it for today. LOL
In Him,

I wasn't feeling really very energetic so I took a toy box and flung while sitting down. Better to fling small than not at all. (0;
