Sep. 30, 2006~ ...ye know not what shall be on the morrow. ~
I was reading myfriend's blog and the verse she refered to was perfect for me to hear at this time.
'Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that' (James 4:14-15)
I have for the longest time heard people express the frustration of when worker's don't show up to do their jobs for building a house. I find it so intresting that I have not had that problem. Our thorn is we have a funny neighbor who has his ideas and what he wants to do on his land but to get someone to pay for half of the bill. Meaning getting a line survey on the dividing line of our and his property... in exchange of us having the easement for water. someone to pay for half of the bill. ( It would cost waaaaaay too much and it doesn't help us . It would be alot less but more time to force the easement ) Now, we have to get a easement for electricity too. The neighbor hasn't replied yet. So we are trying to be creative AGAIN how to get electricity to the building site so we can have heaters going to prevent the cement from cracking after we pour the basement floor. ( this is because it is being poured so late in the year ((sigh)) ) If we get the floor poured then we can carry on with the building otherwise we couldn't get the floor poured till Spring. The cement trucks won't go up our STEEP HILL with snow. ( I wonder why , lol ) So maybe we could hook up to my MIL's house just for this till we can get the electric easement and hook up. So this is my running saga for now. I can't wait till this is SETTLED and I can do a JOYOUS JIG for the Lord in THANKS GIVING.
Good News.... is that on Monday Manly ( my Hubby) has organised a roofing crew to come and put the shingles on the roof , Yipee ! So MY job is to make Homemade Chicken Soup ( I will share the receipe ) , Homemade Rolls, and Plum Crisp. For all these Men. I will show pic's ASAP. God Bless, In Him,
I'm so excited for your new house to be DONE!!! God is in it so NO WORRIES..... everything will work out just as it should! : ) Hope your weekend is going great!

Missy
God has worked out the details for you so far, so He will take care of this too. And maybe a bowl of chicken soup, a roll and some plum crisp might soften your new neighbor's heart? :-)
What a blessing that you have a group of men to help with the roofing. I know that the easement will work out- it is too bad that this is the start of your time near this neighbor. I really wonder about people in this day and age.
I think you can have confidence that the Lord is behind you and that he will find a way to make it all happen.
Keep up your spirits and eat some soup for me. I love any/all soups!
Your SSIC,
Terrill
Thanks for visiting me! It looks very exciting over there. Love all the house building pictures. It was fun to see all the pictures of you and your family too.
I hope you have a lovely week.
Stacy
Just thought that I would pop in to say a quick hello!
I am glad your house is being built. I have a friend here that moved into their house when it was only half finished. No kitchen, no plumbing except for running water, they had to use the an outhouse for the first year (mighty chilly in the winter, I might add) anyways they made the best of it and are much closer as a family because of it.
Blessings For A Rich Life In Him
