Nov. 21, 2006~ We have doors and windows now (0= ~
What a blessing it is now to have doors, windows, and stairs in our " House that God Built." A group of friends from the church helped us put in the electrical boxes and wiring in the last week. I am trying to get organized back at home so we can move into my hubby's Aunt and Uncles to house sit for 3 months. I have to admit it is a challange for me to pack. I REALLY need to down size and pack too. This is NOT natural to me and I pray I can just do it. Plus try not to over due it for the Christmas season. Simplify is our motto for sure.
I hope to post some pictures of when we were in Nebraska seeing my Sister, Brother in law , and neifew. So keep posted my SS'sIC and SBiC.
Your house pictures are so much fun to see. I have always wanted to build a house from the ground up... maybe someday. Right now I am just resting in the blessing that is my home now.
It looks great! Having been through the process a few times in my life (but not recently), I understand the work and effort involved. What a wonderful family project!! Keep it up!
How amazing it is to have such dear friends come along beside you and help with the work! That is almost as big of a blessing as getting the work itself done. May the Lord lead you step by step in all that you have to do -- and may you have joy with your family in this new adventure!
With 5 men I'm sure they are loving that sawdust smell!!! I grew up with that smell and I miss it sometimes. We did a little remodel and it turned our lives upside down for months (still is a bit askew). Your adventures at camp look like so much fun. Thanks for the pics.

Do they want to come and do some work for me, I'm hoping to break ground on my new store this spring and am doing all the work myself which is scary since I'm as about as handy as well I can't really think of a metaphor to express my lack of handiness. Though I have become a lot more handy in teh last few years.
Glad to see the progress on that house of yours.
And Happy thanksgiving to you. I don't see any problem celebrating Sat. or Sun. rather than THurs. The important thing is being together, thanking the Lord, and remembering those who went before.
Many blessings to you and your family.
Looks like your house is coming right along!! Ya- hoo. I was going to ask - How many square feet is it? It will be so exciting when it is done!!
I know what you mean about packing up and down sizing!! and trying to keep things SIMPLE. It is a must around here!!
Many Blessing. And happy Thanksgiving (I know you already had yours but....) Maybe I should say "Many Happy Returns!!" :)
