Mar. 7, 2007~ 365 Days of Photos -day 3 " I lift my eyes up to the mountains... where does my strength come from" ~
We are plugging away on The House That God Built. Handsome and a friend has been hard at work with laying the flooring. I hope to be posting a pic asap of what it looks like. We had fun today making "boats at sea" drawings with oil pastels . A project from FIAR vol. 1. I think the boys had fun and I really recommend this medium for kids to try out. I use to avoid this b/c I thought it would be TOO messy but it was really nice and easy clean up. I am practically done reading HOWTA and I am going to be slowly rereading and sharing what I have gotten out of it. I really recommend to download their FREE sample of the book if you are curious about it. You won't be disappointed at all in this book if you like Charlotte Mason, Unit Studies, or Delight Directed. It is a program that puts God FIRST and everything else falls into place. Robin Sampson is a amazing writer who gives sooooooooo many web sites to help with homeschooling it's unbelievable. I went to some sites today and am so thrilled.
It's been awhile since I've been by! How exciting getting your house almost completed. It looks so beautiful. Wish I could come over for tea! I was just thinking about you and hope things are well with you and your men.
second question: are you using FIAR right now? I have two ds's who have reading difficulities...and we used it many years ago...just wondering what you were up to!
And lastly: how exciting that your home is almost finished. I love seeing your progress.
Take care Sis in Christ...you quoted one of my fave Psalms!
