Mar. 28, 2007~ Only 2 days left... breath in ... breath out (0; ~
Well , I have to say I am waiting on my knees for the next couple days. We are still waiting for the final electrical inspection. I am REALLY praying he will show up by Friday. Otherwise we will be sleeping at Grandma's. I have to say that is a challenge b/c she has a full house already. We could hang out in the new house during the day and go over to MIL's in the eve to sleep.
Today Handsome and I walked the temprary water system. I REALLY felt like a mountain goat. baaaa There were times I wondered if I was going to fall in the rushing creek. Well the report if the temp. water system is flowing or not is ....... not yet.
At the top is still covered in SNOW. I don't know if it means a couple of weeks before it thaws ???? So once again I get to be patient and WAIT on the Lord. Breath in ... breath out. I guess we have a bit more to learn on the patience part. Please pray too that someone will have a prompting from the spirit to want to help us with our kitchen counters. They and the kitchen sink still need to be put in. Our stove and fridge will hopefully show up on Thursday or Friday. Details , details oh how I try to lift them up to the Lord and not fret. Oh how I long for things to get in a groove again. Soon very soon I tell myself. Thanks for listening to me ramble today. At least I can still laugh in all this stretching.
God Bless my SS'sIC
In Him<><

In one of the letters updating me on my adoption process in Haiti, I was told, "It calls for many bits of patience." I suppose building and moving into a new home is a lot the same... praying that the Spirit will grant you the gift of overflowing patience. Send any extra my way! :o)
before long you will be looking back on all this and talking about how God put the pieces together, perhaps differently than you expected but in a way that you could see his hand. Thanks for sharing the story as you go.
Looks like your house is almost done. How exciting!! I know you must be anxiously awaiting the day you can finally move in. We found a piece of land and will be building a house soon as well. we will be breaking ground in a couple of weeks. It's very exciting!!
Your house would be considered Traditional by the way. Contemperary is made out of cement and looks like an office building or apartment building. Our house is going to look simalar to yours.
You were also interested in the family camp in Washington at one time. They have the dates from their next camps posted. I was going to email them to you but have deleted. Sorry. Their web site is www.penielranch.org. They dates that I have our April 6-8, July 9-14(this is a week long camp), and September 14-16. I don't know that we will be going to any of them since the baby is due August 3rd and the we are hoping to have the house done by Aug. 1 but....it may be longer. So...
Take Care.
Blessed are the flexible, they will bend and not break!
Hee hee...sounds like a Lamaze class at your house
Breathe breathe....

God's timing is perfect. If you are still not in that house by the deadline - know that God knows best and it will be okay. Our deadlines aren't always HIS TIMING. I still pray that a miracle will happen, but think of the memories you will have of moving in and learning to cope with the way things are. Just think - you didn't have to arrive in a covered wagon and try to build before winter! LOL!
I KNOW you will be glad when it's all over and you get settled in. Flexibility and patience are great character traits. It's just nice when you don't have to use them so often. : ) Love your cartoon!
Water & Electricity is important, but I think breathing is on the top of the list. Keep breathing. lol And I will keep praying. Wishing you all the best -
Have a blessed day & a blessed move.
I will keep praying- if we were there we'd help, although we don't really know anything about kitchen counters. Actually, now that I think about it, we bought the materials for dh to replace ours and then he chickened out so we hired a homeschooling dad we know. :-)
It won't be much longer now..... very excited for you.
I miss blogging too but I can barely get online to check email, etc these days....
Mary, you can survive ANYTHING, even living without a kitchen counter. Just think of all the women who live in huts and sit on the floor to kneed their bread and cut their veggies for food preparation. This is a little thing, only sweat the big stuff. You'll manage, you'll find a creative way - you'll picnic in the kitchen on the floor and everyone will laugh and have a good time. And God will send your counter top - when you really need it.
(message to self - stop fretting about Passover being on Monday - I've got time to get it all done.. God will guide me... )
