Jun. 20, 2007~ Christmas in June ? Almost ! ~
Yesterday Handsome brought home the supplies to put up my bookshelf in the Learning Room ! It feels like Christmas ! I can't wait to fill the shelves with my library that has been packed away sence November. HAPPY DANCE TIME
I have wanted a learning room for 11 years and here at the "House that God Built" we have the room.
I am not putting down the good old kitchen table at all b/c I used it faithfully for sooooo long. But I have wanted a space so that I can seperate my work and relax time. I have wanted shelves to get ALL my learning stuff in ONE spot. I am constantly saying ...."where is... But at the same time I like creating the idea of no matter where you are... you learn. Learning is life ! Soooo in other words we probably will still have some school at the good old kitchen table.
I will give updated pics after we fill the shelves today. That is todays project. Thank you Lord.
Congrats on the learning room!!!! I have long wanted a dedicated school room too. We have this great space on the second floor of the garage that would be perfect, but who knows when we'll have the money or time to do the work? Enjoy your new space!
I love to get organized. I am not as good at it as I want to be but I still strive towards that goal. Oh, before I forget set me up for show and tell Friday.
We found that the learning room worked for the beginnin school year and the table after Christmas break. Maybe it is the new-ness or maybe it is winter doldrums, but the change always kept them stimulated.
WooHoo on the Learning Center! It's nice having a special place to have your school stuff. We have a separate room too, it's small, and we are gradually migrating out to other parts of the house during school time, but most everything has a home there (except for 4+ bookcases. Can't wait to see your finished project.
Oooh - I have bookcase envy!
In one of our houses many years ago, I had an entire wall for all of my books and I have missed it so much when trying to locate scattered books from all over the house.
Look forward to seeing your pics.
Waving at you from chilly Auckland!
