Jul. 9, 2007~ What is your blog rated ? ~
On Sunday and Mondays my hubby is off from work so I tend to do light hearted posts like this. I will be posting about us going to the Kootenay 9th Annual Story Telling Festival tomorrow.
I took the boys and myself into the dentist today for cleanings. We need some work done. But we faired better than I thought we would. I took the boys into the library today. I got each of the two youngest their OWN library pass. They were so happy and proud. I also signed them up for the summer reading program . Noah already started reading to get a jump start on it. It is HOT here but we are having fun. Tonight there is a info meeting on the one of the missionaries that we support. I can't wait !!! They went to Brazil. Hint hint "K". Thats all for now.
I'm back. Wow, you need to tell us all about this missionary. What part of Brazil did they go to? Do they speak Portuguese? I love meeting missionaries from my country.
Come to my blog later, I will have some great news.
HI! Thanks for coming by and wishing me a happy Canada Day! Happy Belated Canada Day and Birthday to you as well! I finally updated my blog after an unintentional 1 month break. I was actually up in BC a few weeks ago and posted some pics, not near you though or I would have had to come for a visit!
Bless you!
Rebeca
Summer reading programs are great..."A child that reads, is a child that succeeds!" Yipee ~ Rejoicing in the Lord with K's good news. Have an awesome day.
It's so exciting for our children when they get their own library cards for the first time! Sounds like you're having a great summer. Glad the dentist appointments went so well. I do not like going to the dentist. Bleah! Hope you have a blessed week!
Glad to hear that things went well at the dentist. Getting your first library card is always such a big deal. At our library, the kids have to sign their own name, so it was an added insentive for Bookworm to learn cursive so she could really "sign" her own name and get her card. lol It looks like you have been busy. Have a Great Day my FRIEND! (((hugs)))
Glad the dentist went well for all of you. My kids always enter our dentist's office praying that they won't have any cavities - me too!
We have a reading program at our local library as well. What kind of books do your boys like to read? My oldest "young man" seems to gravitate toward military and historical fiction. My youngest dd is really into Nancy Drew right now. (And no, she has not seen the movie.) Knowing that she had a "thing" for mystery stories - Boxcar Children are one of her favorites - I went down to one of our basement storage cabinets and drug out a box of my old Nancy Drew books that were published in the 60's.
