Sep. 10, 2007~ Monday Meanderings ~
here are my humble plans....
Bible Study/Devotions~ I am still VERY ( I have been very busy canning. So there isn't a lot of reading time ) slowly working through "Mom Walk" by Sally Clarkson. I am going to try to pick some verses to memorize and meditate on. Plus have my Bible open to them so through the day I will remember them and reread them when needed.
Zone~
I have put this on hold till I finish putting food up for the winter. But I DO need to get caught up on the laundry.
Must Do~
This week I have to ...
Get the boys MORE eased into school and a into a better rhythm
Make apple sause, More crab apple jelly,
and then....peach jam, apple sauce, shred up zucchini to freeze ( for choc. choc zucchini cake), and more pickles.
Train Them Up~
We have been working so hard on putting all our food up and putting on my ds' birthday party. But... I did get my kids involved with making the cake and making up the quest for treasure. We had school but ...it was not in the book.
I have been reading to the boys at lunch ... Created for WORK ~ Practical Insights for Young Men. We are really enjoying it. I am getting a lot out of it. He is one of my favorite authors for devotionals.
Menu Planning~ Because we eat fresh out of our garden and make meals out of what the Lord has blessed us with. I want to start today by listing on my side bar what we HAVE eaten. Thank you Lord.
Well if you want to join in or see other's Monday Meanderings click on the graphic at the top of the post.
Sounds like you are putting first things first and are working hard! That's great that you have such a bounty to preserve. I got my sunporch converted into our school room. That was my big project for the weekend. Perhaps a show and tell? :-)
Take care, my SSiC.

Would you read boyhood and beyond with your son (if you were me with a 12 yo ds) or read the one you are reading now? I was thinking about ordering boyhood first and then the next one?
It sounds like fun- doing all of that canning. I am sure it seems a lot more like work. :-)
from the Blackberries I picked with Flat Stanley! We have such delicious blackberries over at my father-in-laws.
Pretty soon it will all be put up and you will be ready to hunker down, but make sure you count what they are doing as school, some of the best school is hands on!
Hi Busy Lady! Just had to pop in to give you a (((HUG))). I miss you! Your harvest sounds yummy!
Nothing new here - just chasing neighbor's horse all yesterday morning - didn't catch it - nor did the neighbor (it finally went home). Cleaning house like mad for Ruby Girls today. Still need to finish cleaning, make brownies, get craft ready, and farrier comes out the hour before the ladies arrive. Yikes - I better get going. Love you.
I am praying for you as you are still canning. Wish I were able to help you, but I can through praying that the Lord gives you strength. Our season is finished and I'm grateful. Glad you are enjoying lunch time reading with the boys. Sounds like they will have lots of precious memories.
