Sep. 13, 2007~ Show and Tell Friday~ My New Front Steps ~
We have been blessed again by Mr. B ! ( He is a fellow who works around my MIL and our land)
He made us our front steps to our "House That God Built". It is slowly but surely coming together piece by piece. I love how Mr. B is sooooo creative with what we have or can get from nature around us. We are still making other areas around the house in the same style. I hope to be showing that in the near future. He is also helping us with our learning room table and chairs. Thank you Lord for the gifts from above.
If you want to join us just....
~Make a Show and Tell Post and make sure it is wholesome. It can be pretty much what ever you want to share. It could be about you ...or your family ....or what is going on in your homeschooling.
~Some how link me ( Canadagirl ) so others will know where to go to join S&T.
~Come back to me and let me know you posted your S&T by using Mr. Linky. ( I need you to tell me each week that you want to participate , okay ? )
~If you want the S&T button to put on your blog go HERE
~Then please go visit other gals wonderful Show and Tells ! Oh, don't forget to comment. EVERYONE loves comments.
It looks great! I probably won't be doing an S&T this week. I didn't get it together. Hopefully I will be able to next week. I'm looking forward to seeing other ones though!
What lovely steps Mary! I love how he rounded them and put the stones it them : ) I love hearing how your home is coming along.
Have a blessed evening,
Rosina
I love the steps!!! Think Mr B would be able to come to my place and redo my fireplace? ;~) We really would like a fieldstone fireplace rather than the brick one we have, and I sure like his work. Looking forward to seeing more pictures as things continue to come together!
Those are some solid looking steps. I love the natural stone. People down here would pay lots-o-money for steps like yours! I can't wait to see your table and chairs.
(((hugs)))
Jenn
(My S&T is over at happycamper this week.)
I squinted and peeked and can't figure out how Mr. B got those rocks to be so perfectly edged for your steps! I love it. Over at our homestead, my DH is doing a rock wall (but no cement), but wouldn't those steps blend in nicely with my rock wall! I'll have to show DH the pic.
Another beautiful project, what makes it so special is that it comes from the land you are living on!
Sorry I have been missing out on S&T, its just been busy and their are other posts I have been working on that I have not been able to post due to Monday Meanderings, blogger friend School and WW!! That only leaves me with two other days to blog something that is not a meme or too time consuming. Plus our homeschool field trips are now on Thursdays so my computer time is limited. I posted the blogging etiquette post since it was done and finished up waiting to be posted from last week!!!
I LOVE your steps!!!
We are always trying to think about how to use nature to do the things we need. Rick sometimes goes a different route though mainly if it will not last long...he HATES having to re-do.
You have inspired me...thank you.
Love your steps! Mr. B did another Awesome Job!
Thanks for the stop by, I did a update on what's been going on. You can read it, just log in 'Ok'. I'm fine and just a little worn out, it's 11:00 pm here and getting ready for bed now.
Take care too, enjoyed the house that the Lord has built.

And I missed it!
Thank you so much for your prayers. She was fine this evening. They did not find out what caused it, nor do they know what stopped it. I am thank God that it was your prayers. and as quickly as she got sick she got well. This was not what I planned for show and tell. Now for some much needed sleep.
Because of Jesus, Bobbie
I love your new steps Mary. How cool! Sorry that I couldn't participate in S&T this week. It's been crazy busy here. I figured I better get the BFS assignment done before the next one comes out. LOL. Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. All is getting back to what we call normal.
When I lived in Africa, we used to build like that, make do with stuff that is close at hand and ready to work with. It looks great!!
Thanks for showing it.
