Sep. 30, 2007~ Monday Meanderings ~
here are my humble plans....( I have tweaked this each week. Please don't think I keep posting the same things over and over... )
Bible Study/Devotions~
My goal is to get to chapter 2 this week. I pray and when I read aloud to my boys. God is giving me such insight !!! But,
I am still slowly working through "Mom Walk" by Sally Clarkson. I haven't had a lot of reading time and hope to soon. I am going to try to pick some verses to memorize and meditate on. Plus have my Bible open to them so through the day I will remember them and reread them when needed.
Zone~
I didn't master Mt. Washmore yet. I really NEED to get caught up on the laundry. ( not much left and then I want to try what my friend Marla is doing. ( click on her name to see the post I am talking about ) I want to master the task of laundry ! So, I am have to give this a real GOOD try.
Must Do~
This week I have to ...
I really want to can some apple pie filling. ( I haven't gotten to this yet. Need to dry plums. Make some jewelery to S&T on Friday. I have been learning new stuff.
Train Them Up~
We will keep working on being more kind , gentle, and respectful of eachother and doing our chores promptly . I will try to develop a chore chart for the kiddo's.
Menu Planning~ Now that the garden is pretty much done. I should sit down and write out menu plans. So this week I will post on side bar and next week I will try to have my plans out ahead of time.
Want a FREE Homeschool Mom T-Shirt ????
Scroll down one post and get the details !!! They are sooooo Cool. Plus make sure you check out Tracy's web page to see so many neat products. We got to support our fellow homeschooler's.

Oh, every time I read about you canning, and all the different things you can, it makes me want to start it so bad. Canning apple pie filling, who would have ever thought. If I ever start, I'm going to ask for a nice long list of things that I could can. ;)

Mount Washmore. LOL. I like that. I usually do wash on Mondays, but I got most of mine done over the weekend in the evenings, so today I am going to be free. My dad is coming over, so James can change the brakes on his truck. Ashley is going to be working at the church today to help earn some money for their work camp fees next year. Awe yes! A Monday alone.
Something just came to me as I was reading your lovely list. (Poetic aren't I?) When I first tackled Mt. Washmore, Flylady said that one of our problems is that we have too many clothes. We just keep wearing the clothes until Mt. Washmore happens. She says if we didn't have too many clothes we would HAVE to keep up with the wash. She is right. I don't know it that is part of your situation or not, but that was what came to this feeble brain when I read your list. I don't have many clothes and I keep up with the wash pretty easily. My kids have more clothes than they need, a blessing. If I let them wear every single thing until every thing was dirty, then I'd be in a big mess. Does this help? I don't want to stress you more!
(((hugs)))

I probably need to weed out some stuff. AND my problem is putting AWAY the clothes more than anything. I am working on kids being responsible about that. So , it is a slow process on both ends. lol.
Hi :) I remember the days of Mt. Washmore too! hahahha I used to have to lug baskets and baskets of clothes to the laundromat and would stay there at least what seemed to be most of the day. Now I am fortunate my kids are old enough to wash their own laundry. :)
Hope you have a wonderful, blessed and productive week!
Michele
Great plan! How do you like Mom's Walk? I was thinking about getting that for myself, but need someone to tell me if it is a good devotion book. Any comment?
Apple pie filling. I used to do that. It is so nice to have an apple pie at your fingertips in January!
I've already dried my Italian Prunes. Oh, my, they are better than eating them off the tree.
Thanks for swinging by and singing Happy Birthday to me. Yes, I heard it in my head.
"Go and conquer....your laundry."
Mt. Washmore - I haven't gotten mine to even a hill yet. Our dryer is taking longer to dry which means a higher electric bill no doubt. So I have been trying to hang dry a lot of our laundry. The thing is, I can't hang dry outside and the only space I have to hang things in right now will only hold maybe 9 or so items at one time. That means it takes a LONG time to dry laundry and we dirty up a good bit in a day's time. I am just hoping this will help our electric bill decrease!
