Oct. 28, 2007~ Monday Meanderings ~
"Monday Meanderings” is the perfect way to use your blog to keep you accountable to the most important part of your life, your “Home Life”!Simply pick 5 things each week that will better prepare you to tackle the week ahead!
here are my humble plans....
Bible Study/Devotions~
Still haven't found my "Mom Walk" by Sally Clarkson. So I have started to read my friend Bobbie's book "Encouragement Along the Way" . I love it so far ! Please go check out her blog.
Zone~
I am going to focus on reclaiming the Master Bedroom. It has been my catchall and I have been digging it out. I have gotten a lot done but still more to do. So I will keep this as my zone this week.
Must Do~
This week I have to ...
I have to share...
-I finished knitting my friends socks ! Yippee !!
....then the must to list.
-Getting ready for craft fair and trying out my fudges and whipping it with the mix master to sell.( still getting in the trial state. lol But my family doesn't mind eating the flops. I hope to show some successes next week with pics.
-Making some earrings, beaded bookmarks, and necklace that friends have ordered. Plus, make things to drop off at the store that sells my crafts. And.... make things for the Christmas Craft fair that I am in at the end of the month.
~Ride my exercise bike 3x's this week
~Home Blessing Hour
~Wash, fold, and put away one or more laundry loads a day with the boys help.
Train Them Up~
We will keep working on being more kind , gentle, and respectful of eachother and doing our chores promptly . I will try to develop a chore chart for the kiddo's. I still have not got to this yet.
I am trying to use my Two Sisters Cookbook. ( I will take pics so in the future I will have pics to show what we are eating for the different days.
This book was written by two homeschool sisters and now this book supports the mom to raise up the children. I pray you will look at this web site and support this WONDERFUL godly dedicated homeschool mom. I met her at Little Bear Wheeler Adventure Camp last year. She was one of the speakers and I just LOVED meeting her.
I'm not titling mine as Monday Meanderings.. because I don't know if I'll do it again next Sunday night.. but I've got a post up about what I need to get done this week
It sure does help to know "what's for dinner" instead of trying to think off the top of your head when all the troupes are clamouring for food.
It all sound really good..... funny thing I am working on our bedroom also, it had been a hurricane zone for awhile :O)
Can you tell me what you do for "Home Blessing Hour"?
I will have to go check this cookbook, what a blessing coming from two sisters, the cover looks so cute.
((((hugs)))
P.S. Getting back to HOW today.....
I can't believe I wasn't signed in! Sorry about that, and the socks look too cute. Anna is dying to lern how to knit socks....Do you use two or four needles when making them?
Love the socks, they are so awesome. Praying your mission in the bedroom is a success. I know how that room can become too. I need to work on our lost sock basket in the bedroom (looks like next week project). Praying you have a wonderful day.
Love your menu plan with the two sisters cookbook. I'm sure your family doesn't mind lots of flops with the fudge! Congratulations on your 17th anniversary.
Praying that you will have a great week and get much accomplished.
Pam
Hi! Looks like a well-planned week. Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! Hope you have a fun night out. Those socks are so cute, you are so crafty! Have a wonderful week. Julie
Hi Miss Mary!
Whew! I'm tired just reading about your week ahead. (lol) I hope you still have time to blog...hee..hee!
The socks that you knitted for your friend are so beautiful. You are so talented.
MamaK
Wow, you have a busy week ahead of you. I'll pray that everything will go smoothly. Great menu, makes me hungry lol.
Blessings, Barbara @ downstowngirl.blogspot.com
WOW, those socks are too beautiful for words! I am putting together your notebook this week!!! Promise! I have lots of ink and paper and I have stopped taking orders for a while so I have time to do it. :-)
I, too, have a catch-all master bedroom, and it is currently driving me crazy. So why I am I not up there cleaning it out instead of being on the computer????
Letitia
I love those socks! They are beautiful, colorful, and warm-looking. I wish I had the patience to knit socks.
And...alas, my DS watched the video of the happy sticks, and I could tell he wants them (great! Easy gift for Christmas!). Then he sighed and said, "I don't have time to learn how to use them between work, school, and so much studying." I tried to tell him he doesn't have to be PERFECT the first time or spend HOURS--just a little at a time. So honestly, Mary, how many minutes a day do you have to practice before you don't feel "dumb" any longer? Ryan juggles well and plays hacky sac. You'd think this would be about the same! But he doesn't want us to invest $$ into something he might not have the time for.
It sounds like a great list. I do hope you get it all done. Congratulations on finishing those socks. They look so nice. I've never been able to knit socks. I just never got the hang of it. Your's look nice. :)
JoAnn
I am so glad you are enjoying my book. Thanks for the plug. hee hee!
The two sisters sounds familiar...oh that's right, it's because of the mirror twins. (: Acually it sounds like you are making good use of your cabbage. How yummy.
So flops on the fudge? what happened? too sugary or too soupy?
(too soupy I always use for icing on a cake hee hee)
I always enjoy visiting here so much. You are so busy and I just love your posts. I am going back and visit the cookbook now. I can't wait. connie from Texas
