Nov. 4, 2007~ Our Anniversary Get Away Ramblings and Monday Meanderings ~
Handsome and I had a wonderful get away. It was the most relaxing and refreshing anniversary. It felt like a second honeymoon. He surprised me by taking me out to the Greek restauraunt in town. Then surprised me with taking me to the Best Western for a night away without kids. In the morning I got to relax and watch Better Homes and Gardens Cable station and watch home make over shows. ( I am a nut for these) Then we walked to a REAL nice coffee shop and had a Cafe' Mocha and Cappachino. After that we walked to the Best Western again and had Sunday Brunch. But as we walked back to the hotel we window shopped. No most of the stores here do not open on Sunday's and it made it easy NOT to spend money. Oh, I have to confess we did go down to Wally World and I picked up a few things. I found a PRETTY calender that had BEAUTIFUL nature pics with a verse from a Psalms on each pic. I can't wait to hang it up. Plus, I bought some blue beads for a couple orders of beaded work I have to do. I just LOVED my mini vacation. Thank you Lord. Thank you Handsome.
"Monday Meanderings” is the perfect way to use your blog to keep you accountable to the most important part of your life, your “Home Life”!Simply pick 5 things each week that will better prepare you to tackle the week ahead!
I did REAL GOOD cleaning out my Master Bedroom. I just have to reorganize the book shelves and tidy up my closet.
But...I want to also clean out the future Bathroom that is connected to my master bedroom. Handsome promised me if I get it all cleaned out and not be a storage room then I can have my bathroom. What I mean is it will be made into a workable one. We will be putting in the sink, toilet, and tub after Christmas. Then I will get to have my get aways. I find my mommy therapy is to soak in a tub of hot water and read my books with a scented candle burning near by. Bath salts is another treat for me too. Soooooo I am motivated !
Must Do~
This week I have to ...
My Must To Do List....
-Send my friend her socks in the mail !
-Getting ready for craft fair and trying out my fudges and whipping it with the mix master to sell.( I think I found out my problem of my fudges being hard crack stage instead of soft fudge. Handsome did buy me a new candy thermometer and I will do the cold water trick to check my soft ball stage. But my family doesn't mind eating the flops. I am still hoping to show some successes next week with pics.
I still need to finish...
-Making some earrings, beaded bookmarks, and necklace that friends have ordered. Plus, make things to drop off at the store that sells my crafts. And.... make things for the Christmas Craft fair that I am in at the end of the month.
~Ride my exercise bike 3x's this week.
This last week I got on the bike once. I WILL get on there 3 times ! I find if I don't do it in the morning it doesn't get done.
~Wash, fold, and put away one or more laundry loads a day with the boys help.
Train Them Up~
-One new goal I am starting is. With my two older boys I am going to flip flop weeks doing the dishes with one and with the other have him fold laundry with me.
We will keep working on being more kind , gentle, and respectful of eachother and doing our chores promptly .
Happy anniversay! Love the picture of you both with the mountains in the back ground. It sonds like you have a wonderful time. Thve a blesing week ~ Trina
I am so happy that you had a wonderful 17th anniversary! What a blessing. Your Monday Meanderings sound great. I did my exercise tape and had my quiet time today before I turned on the computer. Turning on the computer is my ruin in those areas. I, too, want to do my exercises 2 more times this week. I felt much improved today! We can do it, Mary!
(((hugs)))

I'm glad you had such a wonderful anniversary. I enjoyed reading your Friday show and tell about how you met your husband. Hope you have a great week and get the bathroom cleaned.
Pam
My wonderful sweet, caring Mary, you are a blessing to me....Thank you so much for caring. Now I did get to see this slide show, was it just two pictures? I'm so happy your DH took you out on a date, FUN! There is something about going away for just one night, I guess its because we are home with DC all the time.
I checked out CBD book on wisdom, it looks wonderful, thank you for the tip.
Mary the view looks wonderful. What a romantic getaway, your Handsome enjoyed spoiling you. I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful night/day of just the two of you.
Your week sounds wonderful, praying you get that new bathroom (bath tub) done really soon. I'm a softy when it comes to a bubble bath, book & candles going too.
That's a very good motivation to get your future bathroom cleaned up! I would love to have my "own" bathroom. I love candles, too. Hey, have you ever tried lavender oil in your bath - try it - you'll love it and never want to be without it again. It smells so good and it's relaxing.
Your weekend sounds delightful. That is wonderful you got to have such a peaceful, special weekend with your husband.
We have so much in common......
I adore Greek food,
totally enjoy home makeover shows, but only get to see them on vacation,
and love to sip the occasional cappucino.
It sounds like you had a delightful anniversary.
May God bless you with many more loving years together.
Happy 17th anniversary Mary...a little late. What a wonderful get away it sounds like you had!! Home and Garden TV and mochas, oh my! God bless you and your husband both as you enter another year of the Lord's faithfulness.
