Nov. 15, 2007~ Show and Tell Friday~Boy's Curling and Cool Weather Fun ~
It's that time....
I would love to share what my oldest three boys are doing lately. This will be the 3rd season of Curling for my oldest two and 2nd season for 3ds9. I love that I can have ONE sport and ONE location for ALL three boys. Next year I will have FOUR boys Curling. That is such a wonderful thing to have. They practice Mondays and Thursdays each week. Soon they will have games against other kids from other areas. It is so much fun and VERY economical. ((YEAH)) If you haven't heard of Curling please go HERE.
You might check out your area if they have it. I know some cities have curling and it is such a fun sport. Who knows you might see my boys in the Winter Olympics one day. Well, that is their goal.
Now last week I was saying SNOW was coming ....well it did !!!
This year I FINALLY got to start a tradition I have wanted to start for YEARS. I got a puzzle table and we are having a GREAT time. This is such a nice thing to do while warming up from outside. And what a great way to spend time together. They really like to work on it during story time.
My son loves curling to! If only the rink was a little closer to us : ) It is so much fun. Oh you are so lucky to have the snow. It is getting lower and lower here but so far just rain for us :( Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Rosina
I'm sorry that you were not feeling well. I hope that you will get better soon :) I enjoyed seeing your beautiful snow! I can't wait until we get some....but hopefully after Thanksgiving.
I had never heard of curling before. It looks like it would be a fun sport. The family puzzle table looks like a lot of fun too. I think I will try that with my kids.
Pam
Good morning Sweet Mary,
How are you feeling today? I'm not doing so well. The cold bug hit me hard last night.
I love your photos...curling...snow (-:
Blessings to you,
Mama Karen
I love the idea of a puzzle table, I love puzzles. I thought about this a few years back but my kids were so young I knew it would be diaster, but now that my youngest is almost 4 it just might work. I love snow pics too, great s&t
The only time I've ever got to see curling is on the Olympics. Hope they do get that far. It looks like a lot of fun actually. I love puzzles! I have such good memories of doing them with the family when I was a child. I, too, hope to get some out this winter. The snow looks gorgeous! We had some flurries yesterday, but it had been 72 degrees the day before.
I was wondering about curling. Thanks! And that snow looks so lovely. I would love to have a puzzle table as well. You've given me something to think about.
I hope you are feeling better.
(((hugs)))
Jenn
Oops! Silly me! I didn't notice that you had put me on Mr. Linky already and I just signed it again.
Curling looks fun, although I have to admit I have watched it before (Olympics) and have not understood what's going on. LOL I'll have to read more.
The snow is gorgeous! A front from Canada arrived here during the night and our temps this morning are in the low 50's. Did you send it? ;-)
I would love to do a puzzle table. I will definitely have to wait until my little guy is older though. Right now we can't figure out how we're going to put up our Christmas tree without him destroying it.

I want snow, snow like that!
And the puzzle table, I've wanted to start that tradition also. Perhaps this year, the little one is getting old enough.
I remain in prayer for your water situation. About once a day when I turn on my water, I say a little prayer.
My computer broke is on the fritz, so I'm on my daughter's laptop. The picture I wanted to show and tell about is stuck on that computer.
Hopefully next week I'll be back in business.
Ok, I want to catch up on the rest of your blog.
Blessings and {{{[hugs}}}}},
Linda
Oh, fun! 4 boys in the same sport at the same time. That is a true blessing. sports can tear a family apart in too many directions! We avoided sports with the last 2 boys. And the older 2 kids did swimming.
Snow, snow, snow! And jigsaw puzzles! Oooh, makes me want to get out our jigsaw puzzles. I used to do the same thing. During the holidays we had an ongoing puzzle set up that I and the boys could work on during those long, lazy, no-school days in the .....uh (not snow)....rain. :-)
I love the snow, I want snow and what do I have? Perfect 70-75 degree sunny days and I am complaining. Go figure, it has to be the Canuck within! Your sons have great form! I want to come to their PE Class.
What is the puzzle of?
I have missed you so much this week. Thanks for all your love and prayers. I love you.

Ooooh, i remember watching curling in the olympics on tv and i thought it looked like a great sport. How awesome to have all the boys at one place for a sport.
Do they play on the same team?
Wow, snow. We don't even get so much as an inch every year, but then sometimes we'll get a ten inch drop of it in one day. Ya just never know down here.
Whatever we get, it melts within a few days.
We have a puzzle table set up in the garage (safe from little fingers). Really it's a board on top of the foosball table. Cale and i have just about finished an American Eagle puzzle.

Dh and I got hooked on watching curling in the Olympics the year Sandra Schmirler played! We finally have the space in our new house for a puzzle/game table too. Maybe I'll post it next week!
We have a curling club in our small town! That is so nice that you have something all your boys will be able to participate in! And look at the snow.
Have a good day my SSiC! How much jewelry do you have finished now? When is the craft fair? I'm going to a craft fair tomorrow. I hope to find a quilt table runner thing for my table and maybe some Christmas gifts. Are you sick of fudge yet?
Curling rocks! We have it here in Pittsburgh but it is so expensive! I wish it would really become popular so it would become cheaper. I'll have to move to Canada...
My goodness, you get a lot of comments! Sorry not to have answered your question about Seattle yet. I'm just not sure at all. I want to say, "Oh sure, I'll make it happen!", but in the case I may not be able to since I'm working around the schedule of an aircraft carrier. The upside is that they are forever changing things, so there is hope. I'm also not allowed to talk about their plans, so that limits my discussion here. Are you at all flexible?
Once again, I'm enjoying your weather vicariously. It's so hot here, my kids turned on the AC upstairs before I discovered it. Ugh! It just goes against everything in me to use the AC in November!
This is great! Great show and tell. So sorry I didn't participate again. I just can't seem to get my rear in gear and do a post for S&T - You wouldn't know it because of the last two weeks off, but this is my favorite Meme!!!
Hi Mary! Thanks for sharing all the great pictures! I've never heard of curling, but then again, the only thing I consider a sport is shoe shopping, LOL.
I love the puzzle idea. My mom always has one out and my boys enjoy working on it. I've posted my show and tell. Come visit when you get the chance! :o)
What fun on the curling! That is one of my mothers favorite olympic sports.
What a pretty scene of snow. We had snow all day today but nothing stuck. And it is weird because we still have over half the trees that still have leaves.
Hi,
We got snow before you, hehe!!! But not that much, just a light dusting.
We have a table downstairs in our basement that we sometimes do family puzzles on, isn't it fun?
I put my S&T up. I hope you enjoy, and I'm very proud of myself for getting it up in time!
What a neat little post. Snow! You know, we haven't had much this year yet, and I'm so thankful! I know you've been wanting it to insulate your water, so I'm glad that it has come for you. I like the idea of the puzzle table, maybe I'll revisit that idea when we get more room and the babies get older!
I'd like to see curling in action some time. Do the boys have a coach?
That is so neat. We watch curling whenever it's on tv for the Olympics. I think it's just such an interesting sport. How neat that your sons do that. Thanks for sharing it. :)
