Nov. 19, 2007~ Please Pray for Water for Us ~
Update:
It looks like our system is frozen...unless God gives us a miracle ( I believe in miracles !) Otherwise the Lord will provide water somehow ...even if it is from a bucket.
Please Pray for us our water froze. My hubby and BIL are trying to figure out a way to unfreeze it.
How did things come out? I didn't get a chance to add you to my Prayer Request Sunday post. Let me know next time so we can have a gang of people praying for you :)
I have a blog question... do you use your own template to get two side bars? I can't figure that out on my blog. I have the right side, but not left. Thanks for your super brainy blog mind!!!
Oh Mary, I wish you all could come stay with us for the winter! Now wouldn't that be fun with 10 boys/men in the house!!! you and I could sneak off for Starbucks and treats and let the boys "Man" the house!
I'm praying for you all Mary, don't lose heart, God is in control!!!
Which water froze? Is it water in a tank? You can get a tank heater that floats on top - uses an increadible amount of electricity, but you can find one at a farm supply store, they use them to keep the stock tanks clear of ice in the winter for cattle and horses.
If it's pipes, there are long wires you can buy to wrap around your pipes to defrost them.
water is always such a challenge in the winter.. and always..
When we got here, the previous owner used to wrap the water trough in a styrofoam box.. 4 pieces to go around the sides, and one to go on top of most of it.. but let an open hole for the horses to drink. It might be worth investing in something like this to keep your water "sheltered" from the cold.
You might just have one part of the pipes frozen that happened to us last year the pipes went under an addition to the house and it was not insulated we managed to heat the pipes and area up with a small space heater, we then bought some pieces of foam pipe insulation(it's relatively cheap) we never had a problem after, make sure if you do get the pipes unfrozen and can't insulate the pipes just leave a tap running slightly through the night or on real cold days as long as the water is moving it generally won't freeze
Dear Mary, I prayed several times this afternoon after I read this, I couldn't comment then but prayed. I hope things are OK. Keep encouraged my sister.
((((((big Brazilian hugs)))))
Drought or freeze--the result's the same, no? I prayed for creative ideas for your DH and BIL. Do you have a well? Does the freeze last now until spring? I hopped over to tell you that I bought my 69 cent stamp to mail your check to Canada. But I see you have bigger fish to fry than to worry about necklaces. Hope to hear good (water) news soon.
Oh, I'm so sorry. I do pray that things unfreeze soon. I know that might not 'seem' possible in the beginning of winter, but you know that the Lord can and does do miracles. He has shown Himself faithful to us so much the past few weeks. I know He will be faithful to you too. :)
