Nov. 22, 2007~ Show and Tell Friday~ Decorating the walls of the House That God Built ~
It's that time....again.
This week my Mom gave us some of the oil paintings that was in the house I grew up in. The first one is a painting my Grandma ( the Grandma I was named after) painted.
Here it is again next to the ocean painting we were given by a friend a little while back.
Here is a painting my Uncle from Alaska painted. I have always loved this painting too.
The wire clock and wall hanging was given ( a little while back..but we just hung it this week ) to us by my friend that gave us our couches.
Here is my early Christmas gift ( meaning the red bowls (..the medium is being washed) from my mom when we went bead shopping for the Christmas Craft Fair. I LOVE RED.
I will not be able to visit you all till Sunday because I will be at the Christmas Craft fair for the next two days. Have fun visiting ALL the Show and Tell's and leave me a note too.
So....If you want to join us just....

Beautiful paintings Mary. My favorite is the one your uncle in Alaska painted : ) I love snowy scenes. Good luck at the craft fair this weekend! We are heading down to Qualicum this saturday for their big Kris Kringle craft fair. Should be fun. I'll be thinking of you.
Hugs,
Rosina
The picture of Alaska by your uncle is so pretty. We have an oil painting that is a family heirloom. I think it is beautiful, but both my kids dislike it!

How nice to set up S&T even though you're going to be gone. Such faithfulness. I didn't know if you were doing S&T this week or not. Glad I stopped by to check. I LOVE that painting from your uncle in Alaska. It is lovely. The one from your grandma is pretty, but the Alaska one reached out and grabbed me!
I hope you had a profitable time at the Craft Fair and sold tons of jewelry. I hope you didn't sell "my" necklace! LOL
They are beautiful pictures. Your family is very talented with painting. And they look great on the wall. I hope everything goes good this weekend at the Christmas fair. I'm looking forward to hearing all about it next week. :)

That is really special - to have original oil paintings by people you know and love. My favorite is the one by your Grandma - those colors are beautiful.
I have been very busy myself, lately, so when I came by for show and tell, I went down your posts to catch up on whats going on in your life - I was stunned to see that you will not have water until April? I don't know how you can do that! Please keep us updated. I will remember to pray for you.

Just stopping in to say I love you. I love your Show and Tell. I was out doing the Black Friday After Thanksgiving Mayhem thing. But I love your post and I really love your Uncle's Alaskan picture. It absolutely belongs in th eHome that God built!
Hi Mary!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm trying to play catch up today. I read down quite a few posts. I've been away for way too long, haven't I? So sorry to hear about all of your struggles with your water freezing. I know how hard it is going without water. We did that for a while ourselves, when we first bought this old farm house. It wasn't very insulated and our pipes always use to freeze. Thankfully, it is now well insulated and everything is flowing. Ha, no pun intended. I will keep you in my prayers. I love red too, and I really liked the painting that your uncle did. Tell your hubby happy late b-day from MiryClay.
*Many happy returns on the day of thy birth
May sunshine & gladness be given.
May the Lord in his mercy prepare you on earth
For a happier birthday in Heaven.*
Hi,
I'm sorry I didn't get my S&T up this week! But I suppose you can still visit my last one, hee hee!! The painting by your uncle is my favorite too!
I hope the Christmas craft fair went well and that you had a wonderful time!!!!
Hi Mary-I love seeing your show & tells. I haven't been able to participate in them yet, but hope to someday.
I've been thinking of you and wanted you to know.
