Jan. 11, 2008~ Please Pray ~
UPDATE:
They got to their destination 10 min. ago ! (9:10 PM ) PTL I am happy that they are safe and sound. The roads were good 98% of the time. And very little fog. I am soooo thankful for your prayers. ((((HUGS))
I couldn't ask for a better group of prayer warriors !!! I felt all the prayers and just hearing my Handsome tell me how clear the roads were and very little fog. You should have seen the weather earlier. Plus they were going through avelanch ( LOL sp???) area. I was weepy earlier but after I gave the prayer request peace just came over me. Thank you again for all the prayers. I have a feeling that if there wasn't prayer then it would have come out differently. Thank you once again. I needed it more than you know. (((HUGS)))
I am asking for anyone who is willing to please pray that my oldest two sons, hubby, coach, and curling team members to get to their Curling competition safely and have a uneventful trip. ( that is 5 hours away). They are leaving 2pm Pacific Standard Time and there is real snowy conditions. This prayer request is also for me not to worry and give it up to the Lord.
Mary,
I've said a prayer for your hubby, sons, the team and the coach and their safey both in traveling to and from the competition as well as safety during the competition. One of the things I prayed for you is that you will be at peace.
Take care,
Karen

Thank you for letting me know that you had a prayer request. I came over right away after reading the comment that you left for me. I did pray for your sons, husband, coach, and all mentioned, and for your own peace of mind. I will continue to do so. Let us know when they are back safe and sound.

Jesus, Thank you for this awesome opportunity for the boys and I and so glad their dad is with them. We are thankful that You are with them also. You go before us and there is no place we can go or want to go that is away from your outstretched arm. I ask you Lord to give Mary's mama's heart peace and a phone call too so she will know all is well. Encamp your Legends of Angels about them. Keep the weather clear and the road safe. Let the boys be a shining Light of your Love and Grace!
I am so glad he called and gave you the hug you needed. I pray you get a good night sleep and I pray the competion is all the boys ever imagined it would be! On to Gold!!!!!
I am glad everyone arrived safely and you were at peace. It's wonderful how God answers prayers. Your son asked about the iguana sharing the beach with us. He would have been peaceful, except he was having a "territory dispute" with another iguana. We avoided him as much as possible!

Prayer makes a huge difference when we are tempted to be given over to worry. I know there are times i could get all in a tizz over something and that is not what God wants for me. Like when Rick works til midnight and then is late getting home i worry that he's been hit by a drunk driver or he fell asleep behind the wheel.
Glad they arrived safely. Hope the competition goes well for them.
