I bought my guys yarn with a promise for a Christmas present. So I finally
gave a test run of a tougue
A felted hand bag ( my favorite)
a crocheted dish cloth
I have also been working on my Handsome's sweater but you have to wait till I sew it up and knit the collar . Till then...
If you want to join us just...
~Make a Show and Tell Post and make sure it is wholesome. It can be pretty much what ever you want to share. It could be about you ...or your family ....or what is going on in your homeschooling.

I do hope everyone is all well and getting back to normal!
Mary I LOVE that bag you made, it is amazing! I remember you telling me about it and it turned out beautiful!!! I love it! You are so blessed with the talent to make beautiful things with your hands!
Have a blessed weekend my friend, you know I will be busy at work getting things done around here! I'm tired and finally off to bed!
Hi Mary :) Hope you are starting to feel better. I can see though you put your time to good use *grin* I just love your felted hand bag! So cute :) Can't wait to see handsome's sweater.
Thinking of you,
Rosina
I am so glad that you all are feeling better! Your pretty template is so very attractive. I like your son's touque, it looks nice and warm, and your felt bag is wonderful! I still would like to buy 4 book markers.
Mama Karen
I love to crochet too! I love the purse. It looks so soft. Are you cold up in Canada? We are freezing half to death here. I'm looking forward to Sunday b/c it is supposed to be in the 40's. Hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for hosting S&T.
Mary you are one talented lady!
I love the felted handbag! I got a book at the library about felting, I thought it was patterns to make for my felt board.LOL.
We've had the sickies at our house to this week. It is nice not to have to go anywhere at least.
Blessings and {{{Hugs}}}} and prayers that you will be getting well soon,
Linda
Good Morning Mary,
For being sick, you sure get a lot accomplished. I LOVE the bag too -- and by the looks of your comments, you could sell a lot of those!!! I know I keep saying this, but it's true - YOU ARE SO TALENTED!
Love your new Valentine theme too (no pun intended) - time to get rid of those snowflakes anyways. I like how the color of your verse matches the heart background.
Sorry, I can't think of a S&T today, but my girls will have one up later I think about the cats. Have a super day!
Very well done, Mary! I am praying that you are feeling %100 soon with no going back, if you know what I mean! We are off to brave the cold so we can get provisions. Thankfully, we have stores not too far away and the money we need to get what we need!
(((hugs)))
Jenn
I like all three of your projects. I'm nearly to the end of a sweater for DH, and the pattern has gone missing. The kids think they may have thrown it out???!!!! It was on the back of a yarn label.
I guess I will have to improvise.
You must knit like crazy. How long did the hat take? And....could you post the instructions for the hat sometime? (not that I have a lot of time right now, but I used to knit those simple, decorative kinds of hats years ago and have been looking for similar patterns recently....for my....SPARE time! LOL
And I LOVE the colors of that felt bag.
Looks like you've made good use of your "downtime" with these great projects!!! I'm a beginning knitter, but I'd sure like to try a felted handbag - if I ever finish the stuff I'm currently working on. LOL
My Show & Tell is sadly lacking in the "Show" department today. Oh well!! Hopefully I'll have pictures of something for next time.
Opps. I got up late. I only was able to post my link on your cbox last night... this crazy rainy weather has got me sleeping late. Oh well. Better late than never.
wow I love the bag too! You need to open a store ;)
I wish you were closer to teach me and DD how to crochet and knit.. DD was in tears on her first try last week. Can old dogs (me) be taught new tricks? hmm
Thanks for adding me to Mr. Linky last night :) Glad you are feeling better!
Seems to me you made a very productive use of your 'sick week'. The felted purse is a beauty! Thank you for the history lesson about the tougue. I had no idea what I was about to learn. I'm French Canadian through my Dad's side of the family. I just learned we are Metis and what that means last year. So your added background was very interesting reading about the national winter hat.
Well, I threw together a semi-show-and-tell at the last minute. I hope you allow it to stay on your list. *begs and gives Mary pleading Bambi eyes*
I've never heard of a Touque before. We've always called the beanies for some reason. Well, actually I think we started calling them that recently. I dunno what we said before... Maybe just 'knit hat'? 'Winter hat'? 'Snow hat'? *shrugs* Maybe we just called 'em hats. Touque sounds cooler though (yes, pun intended ;-)).
Tell your son who can't have milk that your hot chocolate recipe is awesome made with just water, chocolate, and sugar. I am enjoying it even as I type. :-)
Hi,
I hope you'll feel better soon! But atleast you got lots of knitting done. I love the bag, it's sooo cute! I've tried to knit, but I always get my stitches to tight after I've done a couple!
I got my S&T up, the only problem is I never get on the computer early in the day so I don't get it up soon enough for everyone to see! Oh well!
Wow Mary! I really like the handbag! What wonderful work you've done! I'm trying to make some visiting rounds in bloggyland today. I'll be having another ultrasound tomorrow. Only 8 days left! Oh I can't wait!!!!!
Take care,
Karen

So sorry you all have been sick. I hope everyone is mended now and your strength is back. The purse is so cute. My husband is better at crafty things than me!! Check out my current post. Oh, and if you go to the post before you can see what God's doing in our lives right now.
