This is what the Lord says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look:
ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it.
and you will find rest for your souls."
~Jeremiah 6:16

"Come to me , all who are weary and burdened, and need rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart. And you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed
Luke 5:16

(These are the journalings that I wrote after the week-end online conference with Cindy Rushton a Charlotte Mason Primer. )
This week-end was a BIG breath of fresh air. I feel like wind in my sails again.
It has been too long that I have been wandering and distracted. I have gotten off track with my calling, my way of teaching the boys.
Lord, it was you who showed me the Charlotte Mason Method so long ago. I need to get back to ....
-Copywork ( and dictation)
-Living Books
-Forming Good Habits
-Narration
-and Nature Notebooks
to name a few.
I want to condence our workload and make it natural, deep, and meaningful.
I have been distracted like Martha
-Martha wanted to serve and her ways were well meant. She gave lots of time and service to our Lord. But , she was distracted with all the preperations and running around.
-Martha ended up just running around Him instead of what was most important....sitting at His feet.
Now for Mary....
-She slowed down enough to be with Jesus.
-She focused ON Jesus and what he had to give her.
-She just sat at His feet and soaked up Jesus' presence and what he had to teach her.
-Her FAITH

The definition of Worship= to move toward in holy affection.

"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, " you are worried and upset about many things. ( sound familiar ????) but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and what will not be taken from her."
~Luke 10:38-42

Oh Lord,
I pray you bring me to your feet again. I was there once and I am trying to take the time each day to be there again. Your ways are not my ways and I pray that there will be more of you and less of me.
In His Name Jesus...thank you...Amen
