Mar. 24, 2008~ Tightwad Tuesday~ Dishwasher Savings Ttip ~
Dishwasher Savings Tip
One VERY SIMPLE savings tip on washing with a dishwasher is.... when you get to the dry cycle at the end. Is to open the door and let the steam out and stop the machine.
Just by opening the door you let the dishes air dry and there is no reason to spend the money on the electricity to dry the dishes. There is only a few "BIG" ways to save money but what REALLY saves money... is all the "small" things we do that adds up.
Make sure you take the time and check out all these GREAT tightwad tips.
That is a great tip. I'm going to try letting the dishes air dry tomorrow night. Our electric bill can use all the help that it can get. I've found that if I fill the detergent container only halfway full that the dishes still get just as clean.
I save money by not using a dishwasher! LOL! I have never wanted a dishwasher. That could be, in part, due to the fact that while washing dishes, the Lord has spoken some amazing things to me. I call it the "anointed" place in my house. LOL!
Very good idea, Mary. Now if I can just catch it. I have a hard time remembering things like that. I tend to start a load of dishes or laundry and forget them!

I'm having such fun going through all your Mr.Linky posts. I love this Tuesday event. I hope to participate soon... I'm just not that thrifty right now. lol. I need to be. lol. I do have a post ready for Friday though... does that count?
Tomorrow is Weblink Wednesday - I better go find a great link to share!!!
That's a good reminder, I'm usually around to catch it before it heats up but sometimes head to bed after starting it. I never catch the rinse cycle on the washer though! lol
