Apr. 14, 2008~ Update to Prayer Request ~
Update to our Friendly Neighbor issue.
*
Well, our neighbor was successful in delaying our water easement for now. The only reason he was able to delay the easement was b/c of new procedures that are being inforced. The procedure is broken in two steps instead of being allowed to be one step. The judge had already decided on what he was going to do before he even came into the court room. It is so they can be consistant with this kind of thing. We are the blessed ones that get to be first. lol
But.....the intresting thing was our neighbors lawyer fired his client. Sooooo for now it is a bit delayed and how things fell we are not sure if we have to pay court costs or not. hmmmm
This is a VERY intresting journey we are on. I do pray that the next court session that it will be finished. I can tell from what my Handsome told me that dispite the outcome of today that the Lord IS still watching over us. I just have to be patient and keep my eyes to the moutains ( looking to the Lord) for my strength.
I cannot express my gratitude enough for all the prayers and encouragement that was given.
Maybe that friendly neighbor will give up on it. I'm surprised that it is in supreme court. Wow. Do you have a good lawyer? I'll keep praying. When is your next court date?
Just like your header says...
The Lord is good to them that wait for Him.
Waiting is never the answer we want, but it does give Him the chance to shine even brighter!
Love ya,
Jenn
Sorry I couldn't get here for the post below, but you do know I am praying ;)
When I read this I thought of the verse in Isaiah that says "My ways, are not your (men's) ways..."
(((((Love and prayers))))),
Katia
Love your neighbor, love your enemy - same thing sometimes, huh? What a hard thing to do! I'm praying that God will help you during this waiting time. He does great work in our hearts while we're waiting when we submit it to Him and we go after Him with all of our hearts. Cry out to Him! He will answer you.
Love,Penney
I am so glad things are being down properly and in order, thus no need for an appeal later. That is good news.
I loved your Look to the hills comment and thought Iwould share with you an awesome teaching I heard on that verse. Psalm 121 I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
So often we think that if the Lord, the maker of Heaven and earth who made these hills can sustain things, than my request is easy. However the understanding culturally of this verse is that the pagans would lift up their eyes to the hills (the high places that Gideon would tear down) because that is where the Ashtoreth poles were and the Psalmist is looking up at the Hills , asking the question Where does my help come from" and than looks PAST the Hills to the Maker of Heaven and Earth. That is where His help comes from. Cool Huh?
Be blessed my sister for your help comes from the maker of Heaven and Earth ( and the one who makes the waters flow.)
Hugs, lots of hugs.
My husband and I are still praying for you. My husband is a land surveyor and sees many land disputes. He always prays that the hearts of neigbors will be softened, that Christians will be a good witness for the LORD, and that the judge will do justice in the land so that society will prosper. This is a bigger issue than water rights. It is for the Glory of God and He has chosen you and your husband to be His vessels. Grace and Peace, Kathy aka Queen Mother of 8
Well, I'm just sorry that I didn't know about your court date on Monday. I am also sorry that the decision is being delayed and that your family are "gunea pigs." )-:
Hi Mary. I've been wondering the outcome as I've been praying about your situation.
It doesnt matter what man says, what the court says b/c YOU have HIGHER connections. :o) Call those things that are not as though they are, just as the Word says. If this is the vision God gave you -- for the House that God Built --- then you stand on those promises. God doesnt ever go back on His promises, we can know that for certain.
According to Gods Word we can agree together this...
Your eye is single, therefore your whole being is full of light. You are steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. God is your strong fortress and He sets you in His way. By Him, you can run through a troop and you can leap over a wall. He is a sheild, b/c you take refuge in Him. He makes your feet like hinds' feet and sets you on your high places. He trains your hands of battle so that your arms can bend a bow of bronze!! Hallelujah!! He has given you the shield of His salvation and His help and strength make you GREAT! You pursues your enemies ( this water issue ) and destroy them, b/c the Lord has given you strength for battle!!!! Receive it dear Child........
We are going through our own share of stuff with the place we are building and the place we are renting.
When things come up, like last week, that surprise us we just keep reminding each other that the Lord knew this was going to happen and in this order even if we didn't. He's not surprised and He is in control.
Now it's trusting Him and resting in His plan when things are still up in the air, not answered or a real mess that is the challenging part!
Praying things get worked out this year so you can have things set up before winter.
