" This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look: ask for
the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you
will find rest for your souls."
Jeremiah 6:16
You got ME beat, SSiC! Talk about January in April. I wonder if it dumped that much snow in Tonasket. My DH planted a trial patch of wheat when he was up there (we want to grow our own--just enough to grind up for bread and other goods). One acre should do it. But first he wants to see if it does OK before clearing an entire acre. If they can grow it in Montana at 5,000' SURELY we can grow it in E.WA at 3,000'. I hope the snow doesn't destroy the tender little shoots.
How are you precious plants? Our tulips are frost-bitten and very, very unhappy.
Oh look at all that snow! It sure is pretty, even though not very convenient.
I've been thinking about you, too. I wanted to call the other day, but haven't had time.
As soon as I see that you are back I will make it a point to! DH's plans have definitely changed. May make it harder or easier to get together depending on what happens next. I should know something by the end of the month. The trip scheduled for mid May is definitely off, though.
Oh, what a beautiful site. I love the photo... I can't believe you got snow this late in the year - it must be heavy with water. Spring will come your way... I just know it.
Oh, my! And last week you were showing pics of flowers coming up! As pretty as the snow is and your pic, I am sure that it is all getting very old by now!

I planted my garden today and you got snow! Wow. What elevation are you, Mary? To be honest, I am nervous about planting this early. I've never planted before May. But I am watching for frost advisories and hopefully, we'll be OK. Jeff and the kids made 3 raised beds today. They are fantastic. Pictures are coming before the end of the weekend, I hope.
((((hugs))))

Oh my! You really got the snow :) We got hit with it Friday morning. It was a complete blizzard here but luckily it stopped and was gone the next day but I keep hearing about all of the poor BC'ers that got a good dose of the white stuff :( Is it melting? Sure hope it doesn't last to long :)
Thinking of you,
