Hang In There
I am always on the look for simple and easy ways to save money. I also look for ways to ease others into spending less so you can then get what you need or really want. We have to pick and choose where we spend our hard earned pennies.
One easy way to save money is find ways NOT to spend money. For example use one towel a week for bathing per person. If you do that one tightwad tip then you only have one load of towels for a family of 6 instead of 7 loads of towels a week for a family of six. That is a HUGE difference. For money or TIME.
There are only a few BIG ways to save money but there are TONS of small ways to save money that ALL adds up.
Please go visit these lovely ladies and glean some good tightwad tips from them.
Remember: The best way to get a comment is to give a comment.
Be Blessed And for those who are curious about my week away. I gave a begining post of what I gleaned from it below this post.
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
I don't know how anyone with a larger family has time to wash a load of towels every day! Your statement is so true, there are a few big things we can do to save money but the little things really do add up!

We also use the same towels for 4-5 days in a row to alleviate so much laundry. I also heard that if you do not use any softener on the towels, they are actually more absorbant, yet retain their softness too.
I have started doing that, so there's yet another way to save even more money by using less softener.
I have been trying to convince my family to do this for years. Those little savings add up to lots of time and money.
Glad you had a great time at your conference.

Hi Mary. I'm glad you made it back safe and sound. Great post about your experiences, very touching. Good tip this week! With 6 people bathing every day we do go through some towels in my house lol! Have a blessed week. Julie http://funinthesunmom.blogspot.com
I wanted to thank you for making this blog.
What a brillant idea to share ideas.
We do use that idea you posted and have for awhile I really didn't realize how much we were saving doing towels that way. :)
