I was just driving through my neighborhood yesterday, enjoying all the green trees. My tulips didn't bloom this year. They came out of the ground, grew about 6 inches and are just staying like that. Do you have any idea why?
I forgot to mention... our garden is flooded, so we will be doing some raised beds this year :)
Have a great weekend.

I'm so glad that your back, Mary! I missed your presence.
To have a garden like that after the picture you most recently showed us (the snow blizzard) is amazing. I am sure that you are thouroughly enjoying spring! I don't have half of what you do growing. Your off to a great start!
Your friend,
Antoinette
Yippee! Spring is a wonderful time of year. Your plants look amazing! I see you've been hard at work this past winter growing from seeds. I hope to do the same this next year.
(((hugs)))
Jenn
Are you being affected by all of the pollen? They say it is really high here. I don't normally have allergy trouble, but when I do, it is because the pollen count is drastically high. I'm usually miserable on the days when it flares up. But, if it means warmer weather is coming, then I don't mind at all!
Oh, I like your grow-light set up for your broccoli! They look very healthy and ready to go outside anytime. DH rototilled the garden this week, so there is HOPE to plant a few things in the next few weeks.
It seems like just "yesterday" all your pics were snow pics! I guess when it goes away, it goes away.
Hello, my dear friend! I have no S&T, but I decided to come over and say hi anyway. :-) I'm glad spring is come upon you all. We've got some flowers up, too!
You've really got things going for spring!
We have our garden started. We started a couple of months ago, but neither me or husband have a green thumb!
Great minds think alike! I was just posting about our veggies and decided to use it as a show and tell post, since it is Friday. I come over here and look what you've posted about!
Your garden looks as if it will be much more productive than ours. We are practicing this year with just a handful of plants to see if we are any good at growing things.
I believe that one you've forgotten is called sedum. We used to have it at our house on Whidbey Island. My mother in law is a plant expert and knows all the names for everything.
I've been thinking about you. I can't call unless I get a calling card, because Canadian numbers are not, in fact covered in our plan :( Oh well. Maybe I can get a cheap calling card and we can have another fun chat soon.
Have a great weekend!
I am glad you don't live in Narnia! I was thinking about posting along the same lines as you as our plants look about as far along as yours do. Enjoy the wonderful signs of spring! -- Amy
I just made my first home-grown salad of the year with lettus and broccoli from my garden. Tastes sooo much better that the stuff from the store. Grace and Peace, Kathy aka queenmotherof8
Hi Mary,
I found your show and tell through Toni, the Happy Housewife, and I thought it looked like fun.
I have decided to join in.
Your garden is looking really good.
I wish I had tulips, they are my favorite, but the squirrels eat all that I plant! They must be tasty as well as pretty!
Happy gardening!
What a lovely peek at Spring!
It think the one you didn't remember is called Hens and chicks.
Also as long as we are remembering, Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day....
Because of Jesus, Bobbie
PS Squirrels get DRUNK on tulips which is why they eat them. It is like Catnip to a Cat. If you plant them under chicken wire. The plants will come up and the squirrells will not getto them.
Apparently, I do live in Narnia. We are expecting snow again tonight. I am taking comfort in the fact that the lakes have melted. We beat the old record for the latest ice-out date by one day. :o(
Hi Mary
Yes, I will remember to pray for you. I so certainly know what it feels like to be overwhelmed. Been there, done that, and I still end up there. Homeschooling is such a balancing act! The house; meals; school; giving each children our attention;oh, I could go on and on, couldn't I. Stay at the feet of Jesus just like you said you were doing - give yourself some grace and don't beat yourself up for what you can't accomplish; and enjoy your children. Their growing up so fast. It's all going to be over before you know it.
Antoinette

I think the flower your not sure about are called "live forevers". At least that's what my momma called them. I have some of those out front in my yard. I'm excited to see Spring come. Thank you for your prayers while I was away from blogland.
The garden looks like it's coming along nicely. We are in the process of finishing up the season here, planting a green cover crop, and planning for August. Like I've said before, we do things a bit differently here in Florida, lol!
May God bless your garden with healthy abundance!
Betty
Just dropping by to give you a (((hug))))
everything looks so good. Do you make your own sour kraut?
I haven't forgotten the pickle recipe ;)
I am working out side this afternoon, it's such a beautiful day here. My onions are doing great, anxious to plant my tomatoes and peppers.
(((((love and prayers)))))
