It's not such a big world after all....
That is how I felt yesterday when I was talking to my friend Marla. We were talking about different things and I mentioned the church I went to growing up. I asked her if she was familiar with it and she said she had gone to a summer camp by that church in Darrington, Washington State. I asked her if it was Sauk River Christian Camp. And it was !!!
We were there at the SAME camp when we were in 9th grade ! Oh was so excited ! Now, we are still trying to place eachother and see if we can remember eachother. So this is why I am posting pics of what I looked like waaaaay back then.
Here is a pic of me in my cabin. I am the one on the far right.
Here is a pic of me and a friend sitting in the Sauk River ! This was a annual hike that was made at the camp. Marla do you remember how COLD it was ???
I hoped you all liked getting another peek of me growing up.
You are looking very familiar! And yes I remember how cold that water was!!!!
I don't remember the cabin except for it being all uphill to get there. We weren't at the very top though. That's where those two snobby girls were that I was telling you about. I remember them. They had the Madonna Material Girl wardrobes. Kathy thought they were fascinating. I had to go home and find out who Madonna was. :D I thought their outfits just looked like a mess. LOL
Kathy LOVED Duran Duran. She made me memorize their names and played their albums endlessly that year. You probably talked to her about music. I was a lost cause in that department. I was listening to a lot of oldies and was a closet country and western fan.
I love it when I find things like long lost sisters in Canada! That is so cool.It would be so neat to see yourself in the background of someone elses picture!
God is awesome ( and you look so cute!) You are such an eighties girl, I expect to see leg warmers!
I can here " Let's Get Physical" playing in the background. (My lil sister was a Duran Dyran worshipper!)

How neat that you were both there at the same time!!! I love those kind of coincidences. I was never at that particular camp, but the cabin sure looks familiar. LOL Same as many other camps all over the country, I guess!!
So much fun! My daughters are making scrap books this summer. I hope to encourage them to put plenty of their summer camp adventures and friends in them.
