~ Show and Tell Friday~ Seattle Science Center ~

I would like to share this week a snippet of our trip to the West Coast.  One of our field trips was going to the Seattle Science Center.  There was an exhibit on Speed of motion that I hope to share later when I get our pics off my mom's computer.  ( technical difficulties ((sigh)) )  But we  also saw a science show on "Combustion".  We learned the three things you need for combustion...heat, fuel, and oxygen. It was pretty exciting and I got a COOL pic too !

I felt like we were in the story of Jack and the bean stalk. lol

Had fun climbing.  I have always said I had monkeys for boys.

We had soooooo much fun with the trick mirrors.

"Look Mom there is two fo me !"

    Feeling a bit stretch.

    Learning about leverage.

I have some pretty mighty men !

    Now....

*** Remember in Show and Tell Friday ...the best way to get a comment is to give a comment. ***

If you want to join us

    just...

~Come back to me and  let me know you posted your S&T by using Mr. Linky. ( I need you  to tell me each week that you want to participate  , okay ? )

please go visit other gals wonderful Show and Tells !

"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play! If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents. The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them be." ...Charlotte Mason

Fun pictures of a fun trip! Thanks for S&Ting them. They were fun to see - almost like I was there. Thanks too for the beading advice - I'll have to go to a craft or bead store where I can find the bigger crimping beads. Have a great weekend!!!

Oh, I've always loved the Science Center. It's been quite awhile since I've been there, however. I burned out years ago, when we went every year. Once you've seen it, you've seen it, except for the specials. :-)

Oh, heavens! Mad at you? It was a crazy week for me, what with thinking about manning the TOS table at the WHO. It was a relief, actually, not to have to travel and meet anybody (sad to say). February is a MUCH better time of year for breaking up the winter blues with a visit with you. :-) And seeing your family is a much more important priority than hobnobbing with HSBers. yes. Truly.

So....THIS time we'll be more organized about the whole thing, right?

    Hugs, sweetie!

p.s. I feel badly because S&T Friday slipped by me this week. By the time I got serious about it, it was late afternoon. Next week!

That looks like a super duper fun day! Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to write such a sweet comment. I actually read about you in someone else's blog recently (cannot remember who, but it was someone that got to spend time with your family). I am going to request you as a friend so I can remember to come back by and get elbow deep into your posts! :o)

It looks like you guys had a fun time. I so miss being able to do show and tells. When my husband left for Iraq, he took our only digital camera with him. We are hoping that he will be home by thanksgiving though, and then I will have lots of pictures of Iraq that I can hopefully share.

Their science center looks a lot like ours up in Des Moines. Norman takes our boys every year to it while I'm attending the Homeschool Convention. That way, everyone's happy! :-)
