Aug. 19, 2008~ First "No Procrastination Challenge" ~
Today I am starting a Anti-Procrastination Meme. I really didn't expect to have 3 meme's but sense I had sooooooo much fun with my friend Shani and our anti-procrastination challenge that I HAD to share the fun with YOU.
This is where you pick something you have been procrastinating on and need a extra nudge and encourgement on. Sooo, you share it on your blog with us and a time frame you woud "like" to get it done. ( doesn't mean you can't get that time frame extended if you need it) Then come here and sign Mister Linky so we can visit you and encourage you in your Anti-Procrastination Project.
Okay another discription is ( from my friend Shani)
"To participate, choose a project that you have been avoiding like the plague, snap a before picture, write a little bit about it, post your photo, set a time limit, then head over to Mary's to be held accountable. Yes, posting a photo of it is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, that mortification that is 90% of your motivation is absent. Trust me, you are not alone. "
Hee he...I thought this a PERFECT definition and HAD to include it for you.
Okay...here is my Anti-Procrastination Challenge.
We have been in the "House That God Built" for a year and a half now. I have a "temperary" storage space aka future upstairs bathroom. I REALLY want to get it all cleaned out because my Handsome said if I did. I would get my bathroom that will have my claw foot tub ! I LOVE to soak in the bathtub for my sanity time and theraphy and I am determined to get this done! I haven't had a good tub time sense we moved out of the rental. Time frame ???? I really want it done in 1 to 2 weeks.
.
Here is the before pic
Please scroll down and see todays Tightwad Tuesday Post too.

"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
I see your challenge. Oh, but think of the payoff! I will have to give this some thought as to what I've been putting off. And thank you for forgiving me. :-)
(((hugs)))

I can really invision your new claw bath tub in this space! It was made for it. Can you move the boxes somewhere else? Seriously, you have been so busy in your garden that it's a wonder you can think of doing this now. But, since you want it done in one to two weeks....better get busy. (lol)
Blessings, Karen
WOW I have a space like that! We have a side attic that you can actually walk into. It runs the entire width of the house on one end. It is about 6 feet wide and only just under 5ft tall. There is even a window at one end. The problem is you have to enter through a dwarf door through one of the kids rooms. But we have managed over the years to toss everything in there. I am afraid to look!
The photos on the other hand are in my closet and on my computer. Easier to access. I am kinda hoping to win that awesome prize from huberhof academy! Goes great with our theme for the California Book!
I cannot wait to see that claw foot tub in your beautiful space!!!!
Okay, Mary, for better or worse, my post is up and the pictures loaded (wince). Now for the work (sigh).
Your project doesn't look too bad - you shouldn't have any trouble at all with it. Just 15 minutes a day and you'll be all set in a couple of weeks! You go girl!!! :)
I'm looking forward to seeing the end result! That looks like a big job for one day. I think if you can do that, then I ought to be able to put our school room in order this week!
Thank you so much, Mary, for your encouraging comment! I was so motivated after I posted this morning that I cleaned off my dining room chairs and half of the table. Whee! It's a start!
ok, I have a few things that can go on here -- but do i really want to post a picture?! I have a very tidy home, but there is one or two closets that need HELP!!!
I can see why you've been procrastinating that! I would too! My basement mudroom looks like that too. I don't dare make a procrastination post about it, because then I'd have to do something about it!
