LOL... I know that sounds like a funny title to a post but it discribes my Anti-Procrastination Project right now. I had done so well last week and then it came time to get ready for the BIG family Thanksgiving dinner on Monday. I have REALLY limited storage space in my house and all the excess that I have to figure out where it is going to go or things that will be organized in our pantry for winter food had to go ....some where. Well, it ended up being put in the future bathroom aka as my Anti-Procrastination Challange. So this coming week I need to try to make space of where these things need to go. But I did find some neat patterns for crafts that I found when I was going through the stuff.
This project has turned out a lot bigger than I thought and it has for sure been a CHALLENGE for me. lol Maybe I should extend this projects ending time by Christmas. I still see the light at the end of the tunnel..... well I see a bubble bath at the end of the tunnel.
But I can say I got a big job done that I have been wanting to do and that is get my new ( second chance ) computer desk in place. I love blogging even more now. Is that possible? lol
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
I was thinking about doing the cleaning of my mudroom/basement entryway as an antiprocrastination challenge, but got a shot of adrenaline that got it done this evening instead. My husband told me that the director's wife was bringing some pies by to put in our deep freeze for a couple of weeks!!! They gave me about 20 minutes notice! I'm telling you, that was an antiprocrastination panic! I got it done without before and after pics, so I guess I'll have to think of something else. I started working on preparing for my board recertification tonight too, which I've been putting off far too long! I guess the adrenaline was still flowing!
I love your computer desk! I love the term "second chance" I have one too. We found it at a thrift store for 30.00. It is awesome to have my own space and has made working at the computer so wonderful. Now my computer does not share space at my school / work/ sewing desk!
Love your wall color . That is close to the color I want to do our bedroom in. And it was the color of our last living room ( rental ) 8 yrs ago. Hubby likes it but does not love it so I am trying to find a happy medium.
No condemnation here about projects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seem to find more to do but keep shoving my AP project to the back. With the holidays right around the corner it may be a while!
Is it possible to enjoy blogging more? That's an excellent question! :-) And I think your computer desk looks great. I know you will come up with some storage solutions. How about under your bed?

I LOVE the new setup. Hey, you were working!!! That's what counts!! Sometimes more important jobs come up that can't wait!!! I'd say this was one of those!!
You know, the other job will still be there waiting for you!! You'll get to it when you can!!!
Yay, Mary!! Your new desk looks spectacular, and you have such a cozy place to blog... you're making me want to do that, too.... Hmmm.... I'm going to have to do some serious thinking.
I'm sorry your A-P project has taken a backstep or two, but that's okay. We'll just keep plugging along! Mine is an utter failure so far, but that's the way it goes sometimes. *sigh* Yeah, I'm really not a good, peppy encourager today, am I? LOL
Have a wonderful day, my friend!
with much love,
Shani
