Oct. 25, 2008~ Handsom And I Learned How To Curl ~
Last night was a experience, lol. The first night of mixed couples curling ... the games began. The other team didn't make it so we won by defalt. Okay, I know thas was God's grace in all of this. The other couple we curled with was as new to this as we were. Because we didn't have to play a game my 1ds (who came with us) started to show us how to curl.( thank you Lord !) Then my 1ds' head coach came over and asked if we wanted him to teach us how to play. OHHHHH thank you Lord we needed this to say the least. I was very thankful for those two ! Rob showed us how to do each little step. For me to stand on the ice alone... was HUGE. Then all the detail you never think of was shown to us step by step. Wow, I stand even in MORE awe of what my boys can do ! I knew I was going to learn a lot. But this reminds me of when I was shown how to spin and you have to do five things all at once when it looks like so much less. That is how I felt last night. LOL I was getting my sea legs by the end of the night. One thing I have to work on is when I slide and not to hit my knee on the ice. I am very sore today and will try to practice what we learned. When my boys are doing their juniors leage I will be trying to practice in a open lane. We didn't get a chance to be shown how to sweep but will try to learn before we have our next game. ( on this coming Friday)

Well done, Mary!! I hope you enjoyed your time with your DH away from the homestead for an evening and were able to reconnect - we all need that, Regularly!!

It's getting colder here, so our cats are staying in more. Sometimes, during the summer, we wonder where they are.
Not sure if I told you- Daniel had his biopsy & is healing well. The oral surgeon just found an empty pocket. So no further tests are needed. PTL
