"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
At first I thought you had short hair in that picture, then realized you just had it pulled back. I think a short cut would look really cute on you. :-)
I love looking at old photos of dd. What wonderful memories.
Time flies by too quickly. My baby just turned one. My eldest just finished a semester of college. It seriously wasn't that long ago the he was the one turning one!
Mary, you posted on my blog "You have a very sparkling personality and now I know why." Is that because of my comment about being hit by a car? LOL! :-)
I don't think you've hardly changed! Come on, Mary, share your secrets of youth!
I'd love to see a picture of your seeds that you are selling, like what's the packaging look like? What seeds are they? Very interesting! (This would make a great show and tell!!!!)
Hugs,
Antoinette
Don't you wish our kids stay at that age forever? I am having a hard time letting go of the string that is attached to my 13 year old son. It is hard to believe he will be a freshman in college 4 years from now.
It's adorable! Wish I could have joined you all but this is the first day I've felt good enough to do anything. The flu attacked! But I'm up and running now.....
First , I am a daughter of the King almighty and a

I teach with a Charlotte Mason style. I love to craft! I am a beader, knitter, x-stitcher, quilter. We have been on a journey of being apart of building "The House that God Built". I have been recording our journey on my blog. Go to my links on The House That God Built and you will find it. I know God has a lot more instore for us and we just need to follow where our Lord takes us.
