Hi there. Not much to say other than I am keeping up with my walking away the pounds and learning a lot of food choices and how to make them myself. I have been learing a lot from Above Rubies. I am trying to be patient and wait for Pearl's and Serene's Recipe book that will come out sometime ( hopefully) soon. Here is Pearl sharing a recipe about HEALTHY chocolates. Who wouldn't want that ???
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
YUMMY!!!!!!! I want to try that!!!
I finally got WLW up. Thanks for the video, I loved it. I want that book too when it comes out. That is great.
Be blessed,
Chasity
I'm glad you are making healthy changes. Keep going and implementing small, but doable changes and you will see the result. You know from your own experience that action produces results - eventually.
Of course chocolate is good for you! I will be watching this clip! I am at church waiting for clients to show up for the food pantry. Funny thing the past two days yours and my blog just loaded soooooo slowly...but here at church it is normal so maybe we have an issue at home. Oh well. Learning about food has always been a hang up for me ...growing up poor you eat what you get and cook what you get. Changing habits..finding a balance and stuff folks are not allergic to is an art I think! Now I think I am becoming passionate about food. Seems strange. But I love studying about what we get out of the food and how our body works with food combos. I am hoping to slowly switch my family to a much healtier diet. My dd 1 was ask to play for the youth band tonight...no prep time . Whew... I can hear her upstairs above me. Got photos for S and T done. Seems excessive ...all the shoes!
Hi Mary,
I haven't been by or posting lately due to medical tests the last 2 weeks (got the ALL CLEAR yesterday, PTL!!! details on my blog), but I wanted to say that I LOVE the ladies of Above Rubies! We had such a wonderful time in KY this April, learning with Nancy and her dh Collin, they are dear people! And I have "Rejuvinate w/Serene" and a few other products of theirs. You will enjoy them so much! Thank you for posting the video w/the chocolate recipe...I've been on a raw food fast the last 2 weeks d.t. everything that's been happening with me, so that chocolate looks MIGHTY GOOD right now! (I'm off the fast, PTL, so I'm heading out tomorrow to get that Bakers' unsweetened chocolate squares!
God Bless You,
Lori
