May. 14, 2009~ Show and Tell Friday ~ A Sweet Mother's Day ~
It's that time again....
.
Last Sunday was a very nice day. After church there was a send off lunch for our pastor. He and his family are moving back to the states. Then that eve we had a big dinner to honor my MIL, SIL, and me. ( it being Mother's Day and all ) My Handsome made fettuchinni alfredo, garlic bread, and cheese cake with raspberry sause. My BIL made chicken, cheese sause and broccoli. My MIL picked a wonderful salad with all kinds of wild greens and such. My Handsome and boys gave me (still to order) Rejuvenate with Serene (Above Rubies) DVD.
My 1ds was gone on a trip and came home yesterday. (Thursday) He and our sweet Esther surprised me with some wonderful mother's day gifts. And here they are...
.
The little bags are button clasps for making necklaces. Both Esther and I like to bead. I just love her style. I am proud to wear a Esther original.
.
Now if you want to join us in the fun of Show and Tell Friday just....
. ~Make a Show and Tell Post and make sure it is wholesome. It can be pretty much what ever you want to share. It could be about you ...or your family ....or what is going on in your homeschooling.

" please go visit other gals wonderful Show and Tells ! Oh, don't forget to comment. EVERYONE loves comments."
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
That sounds like a wonderful Mother's Day. My hubby is not a good cook, so I don't think the kids would have been happy to have a meal prepared by him. lol
Hugs,
Pam

Wow I love the necklace Esther made! Its really pretty.
I have been out all day. Just finished in the garden. Digging and Digging. Our neighbor has offered to let us borrow a rotitiller. But we still have to remove the grass. Putting in a new bed...so the grass / roots are thick. Its raining now so had to stop.
Cool thing happened today. We donated all the winter stuff from the clothes closet at church to a thrift store. Have been taking in bags each week. Anyway the guy ask if we would like some boots. Free. The are my size! I really needed a pair for working outside. So much better for my feet than tennies.
Well off to fix dinner.
I love the new jewels! Your mother's day sounded like a good one, too. BTW, thanks for missing me - hopefully, my computer will be back online before the end of the month.
Good Morning Mary!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend - you deserve it!
Your husband cooks? Wow! That is totally awesome!!!
I'm glad that you were treated so special on Mothers Day and for the necklace. Like I said, you deserve it!
