Jul. 1, 2009~ Happy Canada Day ! ~
Hi All !
.
Life is full but good. Yesterday Essie and I got a girls day out and had a lot of fun. I had all kinds of stores in mind to go to but only made it to a few. We went to the three places I like to go bead shopping. I am very excited b/c I got a bead kit that was soooooooo neat. I will be learning all kinds of wire work that I have been really want to learn and it came with some pretty green and blue beads that I will be learning with. We also dropped some necklaces off that at the store that sells my beaded bookmarks and jewelery. It made me feel very good when the gals at the store were very excited about my necklaces. I have been needing some encouragement in this department. Plus the book that came in the beading kit got me so pumped to learn all kinds of new things. We also looked at the mall and I ended up buying a skirt on clearence. Maybe I will modle after Essie take some pics. ( she is a budding photographer !)
.
Today is Canada Day and we plan weed the strawberry bed , clean the house for my mom and brother ,( who are showing upo Saturday) I am hoping to squeaze in some beading, and we are going to town and watch the fireworks over the lake. It is always such a pretty show and we have GREAT weather this year to see it. My 1ds hasn't been feeling well (he has been fighting a fever) plus two other boys and I are at the tail end of this yucky cold. So I hope all will feel good and have lots of energy for tonight.
.
Well, that is all for my Canada Day ramblings.
Blessings and ((HUGS))

"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
Happy Canada Day, to you as well. Glad you and Essie are having a good time.
Here is the recipe.
Prick potatoes with fork. Wrap them in foil. Fill Crock-Pot with 6 to 12 potatoes. Cover. Go away. Cook on Low 8 to 10 hours (High: 2 1/2 to 4
hours]. Come back. Don't you dare add water!

Hi Mary,
Have a wonderful Canada Day celebration! I love your necklaces and bookmarks too and am excited for you at finding beautiful beads to work with.
Blessings to you dear friend,
Karen
The beading is great! You do so many things.. .selling rhubarb juice, homeschooling, selling beaded things, running all these weekly blog carnivals.... Wow!
I'm glad you enjoyed the fun with your dear sister.
We celebrated Canada Day too, and I'm putting my post up on your Friday Show and Tell, hoping it is suitable.
Brings back memory when we were there last year for the occassion. Last year the fireworks were blasted right in front of us, which is awesome. This year we watched the fireworks in Saskatoon. They were fantastic but because we watched them from a distance it is not as exhilarating as they were in Nelson.
TTYL. Say hi to everybody!!!!
Love and kisses,
Flora
