Jul. 30, 2009~ Show and Tell Friday ~ Siding Going On "The House That God Built" ~
.
It's that time a week again....
.
This last week has been a very exciting one for us. We have been on the journey of "The House That God Built" for almost 4 years now. If you don't know the story and are curious you can find the link on my side bar. We have been living in the "House That God Built" but the siding has been slow going. We are approaching it being done the very near future. We are waiting for some of the final touches on parts and a second coat of stucco on 2/3rds of the upper level of the house. It is very exciting to see these ideas become reality. I will update with more pics when it is finished. Till then here is what it looks like.
.
.
If you want to join us in the fun of Show and Tell Friday just....
. ~Make a Show and Tell Post and make sure it is wholesome. It can be pretty much what ever you want to share. It could be about you ...or your family ....or what is going on in your homeschooling.

"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
I just love the title you give to your house project. Very neat!
I will have to try to stop by tomorrow when I am off work so that I can check out Tuesday's stuff. We've been w/o a computer for a couple of days. Plus, I'm working so many hours, it is just hard to find time to get online for anything other than absolute necessity.
Oh Mary, doesn't it feel like it takes forever to get these things done?!! We have so much that needs doing, but don't know how to/don't have time to do them ourselves, and now can't really afford to "call someone" either...and the garden is getting weedy...the chipmunks take big, big chew bites out of everything...grrrr! But the house looks great, and those gorgeous trees in the background...you'll have to tell me again what part of BC you're in? We were in Fairmont Hot Springs a couple years ago...I thought I'd gone to Heaven...
God Bless you, and those handsome guys of yours! (Love the new pics on your blog!)
Lori
I love the colour, Mary!!! (Did you notice how I spelled clour for you?) (wink) I can't wait to see the finished project. I will be praying for you all tomorrow.
(((hugs)))
