Aug. 29, 2009~ Philips Update~ Aug.29th ~
I am so happy to say that Philip went from 57 platelet count to 187 platelet count. ((beaming)) I am so very thankful at how well it is going with Philip. Philip and Handsome are scheduled to come in on Wednesday afternoon. I am sure missing them and can't wait to have them back home, safe and sound. We are now counting down the sleeps till they are here.
.
The boys and I went and got some school supplies and clothes plus we went thrift store shopping and got some fun stuff along with some pants. Other than that I am going to be making crab apple jelly and clean the house. I haven't really been able to get it done and am going to have to really focus on that and lesson planning this coming week.
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
Happy Dance!!!!!!!!!!!! PTL!
Now you can settle down and concentrate on the house and lessons. ( I know how it is when you are waiting ....the nervous energy ect) What a wonderful homecoming it will be. Are the boys going to make a banner? Balloons? ect???
Happy Lords Day.
Praise the Lord for that good news! His Mercies are new every morning! I'll be praying for your week, and for your joy on Wednesday! May your family be closer, and have a newfound appreciation for the gift of one another!
Oh Mary I am so glad Philip keeps doubling his numbers. It won't be long til he is back to normal. God is so faithful. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers for Prince Philip so faithfully.
Because of Jesus, Bobbie
Sorry I haven't commented in so long! I had to read a lot of your posts to get up-to-date about your son! PTL that he is doing better! I will be keeping him in my prayers. I have gone through having to trust the Lord with my own life, having already been tested for skin cancer once (thankfully, God has spared me the actual experience of having it)... and my mom is a cancer survivor. Philip will be prayed for often... as I'm sure many others have been lifting him up in prayer.
I'll try to follow your blog more faithfully in the future!
God bless!
