Sep. 3, 2009~ Homecoming ~
We had a wonderful homecoming last night. We went to a neighbor city at the drop off site to pick up Handsome and Philip. It was sooooo good to see them. We celebrated with slushies at 7 eleven. Then home to a nice dinner prepared by grandma. The younger three made a banner that said Welcome Home Dad and Philip. Everything felt right and more pulled together by having them home. Handsome went back to work today and the two oldest went to town to hangout. It is so nice to see brothers who are friends too. Yes, we are definately happy to have them home. Life is good.
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
So glad your son and husband are home. That is a wonderful thing to have brothers that are good friends also. I hope the same thing will happen with my girls as they get older.
When I am away from the computer so much in this season, I feel like I have missed all the news about your son! You were in my thoughts alot this week and sooo glad to know everyone is home now!
Have a great weekend, Mary.
Isn't God good? That's wonderful that Philip is home.
I also think its awesome that your boys like to hang out with each other. I can definately say that, besides my mom, my sisters are the closest ladies in my life. What a gift those relationships are!
I am so happy for you! Our health is definitly not something to take for granted. I'm glad they're both home safe and sound. Now maybe you can get a good night's sleep. Enjoy!
I am glad to hear normalcy has returned to your household. I haven't seen a diagnosis yet. Did they determine what caused all the hubbub? I am so very happy for all of you.
