Sep. 24, 2009~ Show and Tell Friday ~ Hubby's Hike and My Latest Mug Cozies ~
This last week end my hubby went on a
Men's Hike with 8 other guys from church. I wanted to give you a taste of the beauty that God created here where we live. (Click on the words Men's Hike and it will take you to the slide show) Now this is up in the mountians but it isn't very far from where we live. I hope you enjoy the slide show.
.
One other thing I want to share is my take two on my mug cozies. I shared awhile back of some of my creations well I have expanded my knitted collection. I am going to be putting them in a ebook REAL soon for sale. So here they are.

" please go visit other gals wonderful Show and Tells ! Oh, don't forget to comment. EVERYONE loves comments."
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
Oh, Mary, those cozies are adorable!!!! I may have to see if I can fashion something via crochet.... hmm.... Don't you just *love* working with yarn and making something out of thin air? I'm always in awe when I begin a new project - that something that didn't take up space before now does. Wonderful job!! ((HUGS))
And thank you for the beautiful slide show of the hike - the colors were so pretty, and the glacier breathtaking. How blessed you are to live there!!!
I hope you feel better, but until you do, remember to be kind to yourself. Lots of tea, maybe with some honey and lemon, and lots of rest. Wish I were there to comfort you today.
I just love the tea cup cozys! they are so adorable.
Love seeing the high country where you live. It is much like where we are from orginally in Calif. The glacier and rock and timberline trees.
Oooooohhhhhh, I LUVVVVV these!!! Can't wait to get your ebook! My pastor and his wife are coming over for dinner...we'll discuss a bit about Bryan going to Wisconsin to Harvest Home Farm, so please pray for God's direction! Gotta go, they just arrived!
Blessings,
Lori aka Plans4You
Your mug cozies are sooo cute!
Thanks for stopping by! I apologize for not being around much. I don't seem to have time to visit blogs anymore. If I'm on the computer, I'm answering emails, reserving library books or doing something school related.
Anyhow, I hope your son is doing well. And I just read that your water issues are resolved. Hallelujah!! That must take a big stress off of your life!
I hope your school year is off to a good start, I know this is a busy time for you.
My kids are really enjoying studying Canada! There are so many resources out there too.
Gotta go and get on with my Saturday, have a lovely weekend! Blessings!
Those cozies are great! I love the colors too. That reminds me, can you share sometime what your favorite yarns to use are? I have been using what's available here: acrylic (not my favorite but I use it for some things), cotton, and alpaca/acrylic mix. So pretty limited surprisingly in spite of being in the country of wool! (They export everything :( )
You've given me a great idea for Christmas stocking stuffers!
Libby
Precious cozys and amazing place that you live!! You live in paradise!!
I have kept up with you via your blog and Facebook. So much has transpired since I last spoke with you. My grandmother passed away a few days after I spoke with you. I had to finish up with the Homeschool Open House on THL too...what a chore! We just completed the Autumn Swap with over 75 moms swapping and now I can rest a little. LOL
I pray you all are doing well. Love you!
(((Hugs)))

I realized that I didn't comment on how gorgeous the photos from the hike were. I meant to do that, but my dinner guests arrived as I was typing!
That so reminds me of our trip to BC when Nathan turned 13. We visited Banff, Kootenay, Jasper, as well as the Columbia Icefields (hiked on a glacier!). We also had a fun lunch at a neato little red lodge, what was it called??? One of the national park lodges...oh, I just can't remember right now. Nathan got a beautiful reindeer hide there...he'd saved his Christmas and b-day money for a year and a half, and took it along for "whatever looked good." That looked good! Oh yeah, I remember now! Num-Tai-Jah (I probably butchered the spelling)! What heavenly-gorgeous country. You can have all the big houses of the suburbs...they're worthless. Give me the beautiful creation God did in the Canadian wilderness anyday!!!
Blessings, Lori
