This is a very fun post for me to share. First we had such a GREAT get away last Sunday and Monday down in the wonderful state of Idaho. We left at 6:16am to head on down to Silverwood Amuesment Park. We ate just before we went into the park to save a bit of money so we could afford things like cotton candy and such. We laughed and joked around so much. Boy did we need this ! It seems that life has been so serious for the last 4 or 5 years and this is what I have been craving for for sooooooo long. It truly felt like what I thought a vacation needed to feel like. We went on rides, saw a magic show, went on water rides, ate candy and just had plain fun.
.
Here is some pics of the ferry ride we went on to head down south to the States.

.
That day was sooooooooo beautiful and a crisp Fall day. I HAD to bring my knitting of course. I snuck in a stitch or two...actually many as much as I possibly could through out the trip. [0;
.

.
I had to show how pretty the lake and mountains were. We live in a valley surrounded with mountains.
.
.
Okay as you can see we made it to the park and this is some of the roller coasters there. Noah my 11yo went on every last roller coaster there was in the park. He out did my 16 and 14yo's LOL.
.

.
Now here is more my kind of speed. We had a ton of fun riding the cars. The two youngest and I got to be the drivers. Noah said his famous line ....we are all going to die. =0P lol
.

.
Noah and Nicolas went on the water rides and I...mama had FUN squirting my sons as much as I could ! I guess I had a lot of built up pay back in me. Opps did I let my inner voice out ??? ((blush))
.

.
Now this was even more fun than the last ride. The boys got in these boats and people like me got to shoot balls at them. Now there is a technique you have to know about. You lean back with all your wieght and shoot at the bulls eyes on the boats. But beware !! They can shoot you with water. I got soaked, ROFL.
.

.
Now back to Noah. He was my child with no fear. He would go on these crazy rides that no body else in our family would go on. On the first pic below if you notice Noah's tonge is blue, lttn (laughing through the nose). He had eaten blue cotton candy and turned his tounge blue. In the pic of Noah in the roller coaster cart makes me think of Calvin in Calvin and Hobbes cartoon.
.

.
Okay now we go to the pampering part of our trip. The hotel. I normally am not that impressed with hotels and they are okay but this time is was a treat to go to one. I felt relaxed and pampered this time. I guess I REALLY needed this trip. [0= As you can see I had my knitting with me.
.

.
I tried to fit all of us in one of these picture frames from Picnic photo editing site but not such luck so I split the photo in two to get us all in.
.

.
There you have it ! Our trip to the States and what a wonderful time it was !! Thank you Handsome.... you are the best hubby and daddy there is. Yes, we are very biased. [0=

"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
