This week I would like to share one of my hobbies. I started making candles about 3-4 years ago. Each year I try to do something with candle making that I haven't done before. This year I casted my own candle molds !
.
I have been learning and planning this for about 10 months now and I finally took the jump and did it. So far I have casted 4 candle molds of some gords. I am very pleased how they turned out. I have sold a few so far and want to put up a web site to sell my crafts. This is something that I am also doing with my boys. They helped me make the molds and have been helping me pour the candles. This has been so much fun to do with them. I just love finding things that involves TONS of learning for them, me, and if it can pay for itself and more...bonus ! I am hoping that this will also cover some of the needs and desires we have too.
.
I do have a Etsy account but haven't posted anything yet. That may be the easiest way to sell to anyone who wants to buy any from me. If you are intrested in these just email me and I will connect with you. Otherwise.... I hope you like what you see.

"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
