Nov. 5, 2009~ Closing Show And Tell Friday ~
I have decided after much prayer that I need to close Show and Tell Friday. It has been wonderful connecting with so many ladies this way. I feel like I need to scale back some in my life. Thank you all who have joined in ALL on the fun over the last couple of years.
"If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play!
If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favourite book, or in
a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents.
The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them
be." ...Charlotte Mason
Thanks for offering this fun meme for the past few years. I have really enjoyed it. I totally understand the need to let go of some things though! I hope you will still be around blogdom!
Blessings,
Dawn
I know many will miss S&T Friday, but you need to be sure that you are doing just what God leads you to do, and not more that will take time and energy away from His purposes in your life at any given time. My dh and I often comment on how life goes in chapters, and the parts of our lives often run their current course and then need to change courses. Sounds like you're there! May God refresh you, bless you in some unique and delightful way the next few days to brighten your soul, and carry you along the path He desires you to walk in this time!
Morning sweetie. I am lifting you up in prayer. Please oh please do the same for me. Our heavenly father knows the request, needs and the cry of our hearts.
I pray blessings on this seaon of your life.
Hugs
I will miss it, even if I haven't been faithful over the years.
I will think about you every Friday and say a prayer. Even my hubby knows that Fridays are Show and Tell days with Mary :)
I'm looking forward to your email and your phone call. As Ciara chatted with some friends today on a group chat, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous of her newfound friends and chat session. Reminded me of all our chats in the past. I wish we were neighbors too. We could have an early morning share and pray session at least once a week! Sigh. We'll have to settle for email and phone calls. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon.
I am so sorry that your wonderful "Friday Show and Tell" has to end but I certainly understand, dear friend. I have been so busy at work that I have not taken much time to blog, and miss checking in with all of you sweet ladies. You are in my heart. I will keep stopping by to see how you are faring though.
Blessings, Karen
