About a week ago I picked up a cheap $1 math workbook for each of the girls at the Dollar Tree. (love that place!) Sometimes I think they just like something "new" and it excites them so they work and work on it! Well, this week, about 4-5 days in a row, Hannah has been working like a maniac on this math book! It is a grade 1 book with about 30 pages or so. Each "skill" is 2 pages...and she is zipping through it! Now, I'm not saying she's a math genius, I actually don't think she is "above" her grade level or anything...I think she just LIKES doing it so much, it's crazy! This book has been great, too, cause it changes things up every other page or so. She has done addition, subtraction, graphing, skip counting, coloring by number, time, and fractions. She is so cute about it! I haven't been doing hardly any math this week during our "school" time because she has been wanting to do so much during her free time. At some point during the evening she will come up to me and say, "mommy, can I do my math book?" Now, what can you say to that???
I love it! So, if you're having trouble getting your little one to do math this week, go by and pick up a FUN workbook from the dollar tree! They had lots of different levels and if they don't like it, hey, it's just $1. But, if they do like it, it's a GREAT way to spend a dollar!! ![]()
