The JOYS of a 2 year old!

Posted in Parenting

This is just a quick run down of our morning thus far.

*We're trying to potty train Caleb without much success. The first week he did GREAT and went in the potty everytime without even being reminded. He was naked that week...now we've tried putting underwear on him and he wants nothing to do with any of that. Since putting him in underwear he has NOT ONCE gone successfully on the potty! And now, he doesn't even want to wear underwear. I'm on the verge of giving up...but I keep thinking back to last week when he did GREAT on the potty?!?

*Caleb peed once in his room, thankfully we have  hardwood floors, but still. Yuck.

*Caleb put a baby doll in the kiddy pool outside to give her a bath.  She isn't a doll that is supposed to get wet.

*Caleb stuffed his muffin completely down in his juice up and sat at the table yelling "STUCK" repeatedly.

*Caleb smashed goldfish into crumbs allllll over the kitchen area. I guess it's just fun to smash fish.

I hear ya! Not ready to potty train yet but we have dry beans all over the floor from one of those lovely preschool keep-em-busy ideas. Gotta go clean those up now. LOL!

Hang in there! One day he'll appreciate a nice pair of undies.

He and Mattie must be thinking the same thing today. She was pouring her water all over her pancake sandwich and watching it grow!! So much fun! (for them...)

Ahhhh the life of a two year old! I think Caleb and Kaden are long lost brothers! :-)
We haven't even started potty training Kaden yet. He is just not ready. Do you think that is the case with Caleb?
Justin didn't train until he was almost four. He did have some other issues though. I didn't push him at all. Once he trained though there was no turning back. He never had an accident!

Aug. 3, 2007 - Oh so cute!

He is oh so cute, and it is a good thing he is so cute! Just remember after "terrible 2's" come terrific 3's! Well, it does not hurt for Nana to dream a little too! Hardwood floors is the only way to go with small kids.

Hi Candace...I don't know if you actually read these? Your mom sent me the Rosser Family blogsite, and I saw your website linked to that one. How handy! So this is actually the second time I've looked at your site. Sounds like fun times with Caleb....! Elsa is asleep like a genius:) I think right now that I don't know what I'll do with any more kids. One is enough for me to handle!! I guess it gets easier??
I hope we can see you sometime soon!
Love to you,
Rachel

Hi Rachel! Of course I read the comments! I get so excited when I have a new comment to read! And how fun to have another sister-in-law reading the blog. :) Thanks for "stopping by." And I won't say that anymore than 1 child gets easier...but well, maybe so many brain cells have been zapped that I just don't think about it anymore, HA!! :)
