Riding a pony!

Posted in Field Trip Fun

We got to take an awesome trip to our friend Ms. Susan and Ms. Amy's farm  yesterday! I wanted to take the kids out there this week because they have a horse and a pony! We had such a good time! Ms. Susan went above and beyond the duty of hostess and had a hot dog roast complete with chili and then smores for dessert! Mmmmmm! The girls had fun playing in the creek that is behind their house as well!

Then Ms. Amy and Ms. Laura showed us all the pony and took us on rides! We watched Scout get his feet cleaned out, saw the saddle being put on, learned that horses can communicate anger or contentment with their ears, got to feed him carrots and of course take a RIDE! Emily really loved riding the pony!

Thank you to Susan, Holly, Amy and Laura! This was the perfect addition to our week learning about horses, especially with our book being about a pony named Fritz!
