Posted in Holiday Times
With the upcoming holiday, I wanted to take this coming week to introduce a little basic government to our kids. We have never even broached the subject before now, so I thought it would be the perfect time! In a nutshell, we will be learning about what a president is, what he does, where he lives, and a little about a few of our more famous presidents. We probably will mention the upcoming presidential election and the voting process. Of course most of this will be done through wonderful picture books! So, here is a bit of what we will be doing for our president unit. I thought I would go ahead and share in case any of you are still needing ideas for a presidential unit.
Happy President's Day!
