The Blood of Jesus

Posted in Scripture,Prayer,Devotion

Sometimes when I read the words to a hymn (as opposed to singing it) it takes on a new meaning for me. When I focus on the words and not what I sound like or how the notes are too high, the words penetrate my heart and give me hope. The blood of Jesus will never lose its power. Sometimes I need that reminder...it will never lose the power to cleanse. It will never lose the power to forgive. It will never lose the power to redeem. It will never lose the power to die for me...and you. It will never lose its power. Never.

The blood that Jesus shed for me, way back on Calvary;

The blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power.

It reaches to the highest mountain. It flows to the lowest valley.

The blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power.

It soothes my doubts and calms my fears, and it dries all my tears;

The blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power.

It reaches to the highest mountain. It flows to the lowest valley.

The blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power.
