Our Tabletop Garden!

Posted in Nature Study and Journaling

Over the weekend we started our tabletop garden! I'm excited about this nature project! In just the 2 days we have had our veggies in water, we have already seen a little bit of growth! The kids are super excited!

Be sure to check out Amanda's (Hearts and Trees) post on the instructions and details of making a Tabletop Garden. And she also has a freebie printable for a nature journal page on your tabletop garden. (this link is posted in the same entry on the tabletop garden.) I have a few of these printed and ready to go! Today we will be making our first drawings of the table top garden!

We did something like this last year and loved it! They grow fast, and it was the only way we'd ever learn what a radish and beet looked like!

Mar. 24, 2008 - It looks great...

Thanks for sharing the link to your post. Your tabletop garden looks great! I hope you will share some photos with us as they grow. I know I was amazed by how soon I could see growth on my vegetables and even more surprised when they started to flower!

Have a great week,
Amanda from Hearts and Trees

Ps. I entered you in my contest.

Mar. 27, 2008 - Watering the tabletop garden

In answer to your question, I never sprinkled my plants with water. I just made sure that the bottoms of the vegetables were submerged in the water. I am sure it couldn't hurt to mist them if you think they need it.
