I am Chay-haas Woodspryt, not Sam. I count my age in millenia, not years. What is up? Well, let me see. Other than the usual trouble I cause, not a whole lot is happening. Actually I am laying low for a little while, due to some relatives in Oregon being slightly upset with me. For no good reason either... I only borrowed one of their bows. They ought to be happy that I liked it so much. I mean, what better compliment, then to have your work borrowed? And I left them my old one to borrow anyway.

It is incorrect to say I am laying low. It is supposed to be, 'I am lying low.'. The way you said it means that you are laying an object, not yourself, low.
