In my mind, I have already moved. I tend to work that way. I like to "have a plan", a trait I share with the rest of the women in my family (and, I suspect, in the world). I get a lot of teasing from my DH for this, but I say that you can't accomplish anything without a plan.
I took a three ring binder and filled it with ruled paper, and I labelled each page with dates and calendar events. In the front, I made a page for each of the things DH will have to deal with - the barn, garage, storage shed, garden shed, old vehicles, etc. On the dated pages, I started filling in the jobs I will do each day in order to be ready to move on June 1.
Today, I need to start a dress set for a client (hopefully she will send the measurements today so I can stay on my schedule!) Matthew works at noon and has youth group at 7 pm. Have I mentioned how lovely it is to have him driving now??
I am going to call my oldest son about the "stuff" he has stored in one of the sheds and a friend about her old truck, which they have left here. It died here and now needs to be hauled away.
I am going to clean the cupboards under the kitchen and bathroom sinks and make sure I have enough cleaning supplies. I am going to pack the linens from the dining room and some old misc. linens (mostly curtains) that I have stored in the basement. I will make arrangements to get more packing boxes.
I really am working on this with a positive attitude. Honest, it's not grim determination... it's a cheerful heart. Honest.
